While to me he seemed a little off about most of you, I can kind of see where he got some of the rudeness, but most of you are not helping by making comments like that anyhow.

Just an FYI,

What you may be unaware of is that the Mods have deleted several posts that were made after midnight on Sunday the 21st which lead up to the comments the OP is getting now. Without them you can't see what led up to this. You're only seeing part of the conversation and that can give you the wrong impression.

Oh and if you weren't aware when the Mods delete a post, every post that is linked to it by way of quotes gets deleted with it. So it's possible a chain of posts can disappear when one post is removed.

That may have been what he meant to say but I think he was unintentionally correct in what he actually posted because the way he keeps coming back to make comments shows he really does care.

I read it the other day to, I saw nothing on that end where mods would delete anything, it sounds like your just trolling at this point.

Seeing as you've been away from for several years you might be unaware that it's against forum rules to that accusation. You mught want to read them since they were just made stricter a few months ago and the Mods have been enforcing them.

You can find a link to them at the top of this section of the forums Message Forum Rules and Guidelines.

Oh and if you really had read the thread prior to the Mods deleting posts you would have seen that about a dozen posts are now missing. Only the Mods can remove a post from a thread. Our tools only allow us to edit a post. Editing doesn't remove it, it merely allows us to change what was posted and it automatically tags the post as edited with the following: Last edited by <poster's name>; 11-19-2010 at 10:23 PM.

However Editing only changes the original post. If someone has quoted the post that remains unedited in their post. Also the Mods can see the original post and any changes made so we can't post something bad then edit it and not get caught.

If it was the only posts in danger of being modded would be yours and the OP's.

Everyone else has repeatedly tried to offer helpful information and bent over backwards to provide ways to get the GR expansion for much less than the normal sales price.

People who are behaving in an "elitist" manner wouldn't bother to do any of that.

Actually that is not true attitude behind a keyboard can be elitism as well, and bend over backwards? Uh no bending overbackwards for someone is helping someone in real life like helping a friend move or helping a friend with hard earned money anyways you get the picture, these people simply stated some of there attitudes towards the ops opinion on the expansion, and provided links, an easy copy and paste doesnt even take a min to get it out, so if people are honestly complaining about that, then they must have a really hard time doing anything for anyone in real life.

The term "bending over backwards" was used because the peoe went blatently out of their way to show the OP by actually supplying links

For this kind of thing, it wa bending over backwards - we could of just said "it is out there for cheaper, go find it" but we acutally looked and whatnot. Some of us while passing just a moment here and there at work.

And as for calling out being some of use being elitist "behind the keyboards" even if it isn't showing in the text - wha? If it isn't in the text, how can you know?

Personally, every time I see or hear a green/sour grapes reference, the first thing that comes to MY mind is "Foxes eat grapes?"

Apparently:

"Bend over backward" = "buy the game for me or send free code", and:
"elitists" = "people who don't buy the game for me or send free code"

Though I do have to wonder... if $40 (or whatever) is too much, causing one to look at another game... what do the other games looked at cost? Seems to me it's a choice between paying $40 for this, $40 for something else, kvetching about not being able to play this free or tracking down another free game.

Did I miss an option?

One game isn't out, and the other is about to go free to play.

Most other non-comic genre games cost about that for an edition that contains a basic account key - "the gorilla" charges 20 for theirs (IIRC), but I have no clue how worth it that is without their new expansion, which is 40 and needs both the basic account and previous expansion. Even their collectors edition at 80 bucks doesn't cut you any slack :/
