How would you make CoH lower lvl content more fun?

I'd not use a dom, as my dom is right there next to my blaster as a butt kicker. I am using instead a brand new gravity controller for it.

Alright, the redone Natural origin arc for Galaxy City is ready:

ELITE arc - Galaxy City REDEUX

Arc ID: 466407

Let me know of any ways to improve it. I'm about to go back and tinker with my DATA arc. Just realized I forgot a souvenier.

I blow through the early content because having 1-2 attacks, perhaps no AOE, and glaring holes in your primary and secondary is not fun to me. I want to play a hero and enjoy playing a reasonably fleshed out character.

My other thought is get rid of levels and make all mobs like monsters, IE even con to everyone. Minions across the board are white, lt's are yellow, and bosses are orange. Up it one in hazard zones and let people custom set in their own missions. Your levels are adding powers to your build, but then if you really like the content in Talos, you can do it. You want to experience Croatoa at lvl 1, enjoy!

It also solves the problem of developing content. It's for everyone and rewards can be set appropriately.
How about "no." Yeah, I think "no" covers it pretty well.

Re-writing of Rick Davies (new arc; Grinding Gears) has hit a snag due to AE refusing to co-operate on a mission objective. Were it so easy...

I swear, if I had the Devs tools I could probably re-write Atlas parks entire contact list in a week or two. Same for Galaxy, maybe three for Kings.

If some schmuck like me can churn out an actual story arc in an evening and a day, what excuse is there for the Pre-Paragon Studios content still being here?

Any introductory contact in a zone would be moved so that it is closer to a tram or gate. You wouldn't have to cross the zone to get to that contact.

I'd ditch the code that resets your contact to the detective for a zone when you first enter a zone. The number of times that's sent me off in the wrong direction is incalculable at this point.

I'd have detectives give you their cell numbers. You wouldn't have to run back to them to do bank missions.

I'd rewrite the content for your starting contacts so that they were actual story arcs appropriate to your origin. As things are right now, there's no connection between your origin and the missions you're given. And, I'd offer a badge and/or merits for completing the arc.

For characters that are in support roles, I'd grant them a diminishing damage buff from the lower levels up until about level ten (negotiable). This would only apply while they are soloing, and serves to mitigate how long it takes them to defeat foes. So controllers and defenders can actually survive on their own and level at a rate that is almost on par with their more offensive counterparts.

I'd add new types of mission objectives. Puzzles, traps, and so on. Make the players think. Add more to the game than just smash-and-bash.

With every free issue, I'd slowly add new textures to the office, warehouse, and cave maps. We don't have to introduce entirely new maps for players to perceive that there's new content. Slap a new coat of paint on it, and the game will feel fresh and new.

Bring back power proliferation. (Admittedly, this is only deferred, given higher development priorities, but it would be nice to see some powers proliferated again.)

And finally, I'd eliminate blue caves. But that's just a pure spite thing. Largely because I absolutely abhor The Cake Room.

Alright, taken some feedback and tweaked my arcs. Both my ELITE and DATA arcs have been updated. DATA now has some more flavor of enemies added as well.

I am buying the additional 5 MA slots this weekend. Working on the arcs in the meantime, so hope to have them up this sat/sun.

Stuff I'd like to see.

Red Side: Give a choice in starting locals. Either Port Oaks, or Mercy. Make both zones for levels 1 to 15. Both Zones are fairly good sized and can both stand some level expansion. Their's so much in both zones, and neither are fully utilized. Also expand the level range of content for Cap to 10-20.

Blue Side: Content and mission revamp/rewright. As many have pointed out the early story arcs are starting to show their age, and could use fresh dialogue.

More tweaks to the DATA arc. More variety of enemy groups, mixed map, and cleaned up dialog. Starting work on the Prince Kiros Nandelu arc next.

Villains just need so much attention its insane, and heroes prop just content update i think.

Azuria's arc is pretty much finalised. Feedback so far has been good. Sadly, Uni work has interupted further AE 'work', as it were, so the Galaxy revamps that Appolon is working on are te only re-vamps for now.

Everyone seems to love my ELITE arc, but DATA still is just not there. It works, but it's not great.

If I was going to fix it, that's what I'd do.

Maybe I should.
That's what I did.

Also I like the cut scenes, they are generally more plentiful in CoV mission content. So what would you guys suggest?
I have an easy way to get lower levels played more and its summed up in two words. "Better Loot"

H: Blaster 50, Defender 50, Tank 50, Scrapper 50, Controller 50, PB 50, WS 50
V: Brute 50, Corruptor 50, MM 50, Dominator 50, Stalker 50, AW 50, AS 50
Top 4: Controller, Brute, Scrapper, Corruptor
Bottom 4: (Peacebringer) way below everything else, Mastermind, Dominator, Blaster
CoH in WQHD

Taking out all three may take more time, but it also makes him an easier fight, especially solo. Each artefact is guarded by a boss, who scales as normal.
Can you actually do stuff like this in the AE now?

Main Hero: Chad Gulzow-Man (Victory) 50, 1396 Badges
Main Villain: Evil Gulzow-Man (Victory) 50, 1193 Badges
Mission Architect arcs: Doctor Brainstorm's An Experiment Gone Awry, Arc ID 2093

SERAPH has been completed, a complete redesign around todays CoH. No Vahzilok, primarily because those guys are the hardest to handle for anyone at level 1-5. 5 missions of them? Overwhelming. I avoided anyone who would run SERAPH due to this for years.

So, here is my replacement SERAPH arc: 470341
