Halloween is a multinational holiday that is celebrated in many countries of the world, from Latin America, to North America, and across to Europe. It's also one of the oldest known holidays

Christmas is another multinational holiday celebrated on every continent as it spread across the globe.

The same is true about Valentine's Day and how widespread it is celebrated across the world.

Thanksgiving is an American holiday. Furthermore the countries that do have their own version of Thanksgiving:

1. Don't celebrate it in November and
2. Don't celebrate the first successful harvest on American soil.

It only common sense that if the game is going to have any holiday events it will be the ones that appeal to as many of their customers as possible and are celebrated at the same time everywhere.
Yep Forbin pretty much says it all. Plus keep in mind while the events occur around those holidays NC Soft is always very careful to be PC (Ploically Correct). The event in December is never referred to as "The Christmas Event" its the Winter Event. The Valentine's Day event is offically referred to as The SPRING Event and I guess since Halloween is not really associated with any poarticular Religous group or nationality the lawyers have no issue with just calling that "The Halloween Event".

We have players from all around the globe and a number of severs in Europe so setting an event that targets a specific US holiday was probably ruled out long ago. There is also the fact that it would create a situation where you'd have back to back to back events from October to December. Then after a short break in January a forth followed by absolutely nothing until October rolled around again. I have always wondered why they didn't come up with some sort of summer event to round out the seasons:

Halloween = Fall Event

Winter event (Xmas) = Winter ((DUH))

Valentine's event = Spring (although a tad early in February)

So where is our summer event? When all the College and High School aged players are off from classes and have more time to play. Of course the Forth of July aside there really is no holiday to base an event on and since the 4th is definately a US holliday.. that sort of explains why they don't use that! Maybe we could get another addition to Pocket D.. a Summer time beach area and run some Summer Event missions against the Coralax? :-D

I'd rather see an Arachnos Fliers randomly appear in zones and start dropping turkeys on peoples heads. Then at the end of the event see Mako standing in front of Lord Recluse and apologizing.

Mako - "As God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly."

For the Thankgiving event GM, I figured The Mighty Poultra from Jimmy Neutron would work well!

Like many other specific aspects of American culture, it does take a generation or two for immigrants to get into the Thanksgiving mood, but they usually do, producing fascinating hybrid thanksgiving celebrations. The same thing is true for a lot of other aspects of American culture. That's been my observation anyway.

Well admittedly I'm from the UK not Mexico but I'm a US immigrant and I celebrate it. My family does do anything really major to celebrate it (since our extended family are all in the UK and obviously don't care) but we do celebrate it (although we tend not to have turkey since none of us actually like turkey that much).

And Croatia celebrates Thanksgiving on August 5th. Which takes us back to my first point that the countries that do have a Thanksgiving holiday don't celebrate it at the same time of year.

Besides, it's not really Thanksgiving any more.

Its become Pre-Christmas.

(I swear, I even saw a neighbor with Christmas decorations in their yard last week.)

I commented way back when during the first Halloween event that they should tint Hamidon cranberry color for the Holidays.

There's always the Anniversary Event, though I suppose April/May is a bit early to be summer.

There should be a "Too much stuffing" temp power that expands your waistline to max, applies a sleep hold to the user, and for 120 seconds after the sleep wears off you're slowed to a crawl. The only way to escape the slow is Jumping Jack emote for 20 seconds.

Using this temp power in mission would be a bad idea, unless you're a stalker.
