Those spiders slip through cracks you can't even see...

Normally they're good to keep around to take care of the bugs, but...

Of course. That's why it was posted on a Web site, after all.

What was the reason for this?

Probably to prevent situations where a level 50 necromancer, who therefore Extracts a level 50 Soul, is exemplared to level 30 yet enjoys the benefits of having a level 50 ghost following him around, fighting the level 30 content. Alternatively, imagine how unhelpful the Extracted Souls produced by, say, a level 20 character would be when he's sidekicked up to 50.

Essentially, it's making the Extracted Souls follow the same rules as other pets.

Sounds about right.

Ah well at least the spider problem was....squashed.

Under normal circumstances, I would be ok with this, but Soul Extraction has such a huge cooldown time, that it makes it less worth it. And since the ghost doesn't change maps with the character, It's unlikely you would get benefit from being exemplared...

<edit> It is also likely that this update added the new auras and capes for the Origin Pack...We just need the buy button now..........</edit>

No, spiders are not bugs, they are insects.

Or is that the other way around?

Any fix for the "Fog of War" bug coming yet, rednames? It's been since August, and it'd be really, really nice if all of the toons that I have who crossed over didn't have to constantly "unlock" the zone maps on the newer sides because it can't save the data anymore.

See here for more info. I'd rather not wait two years to get it fixed, like the last time this was reported (fixed finally with the issue when Faultline was redesigned).

The bug, with details.

nope, spiders do not fall under the insect species
they are of the Arthropoda group of species.

Bugs are insects. Specifically they are things like aphids and shield bugs, winged insects with piercing mouthpieces which they tend to use to pierce plant stems to feed.

Insects and Spiders (along with things like crabs and shrimp) are all arthropods, that is invertebrates with a hard exoskeleton but insects and spiders aren't any more closely related than that.

Bugs are things in places that you don't want them that don't have fur (the furry ones are called pests). Spiders are bugs.
