The last post gives a rought set up for Mind and Earth (found earth to be an odd choice for PvP *shrug*) and you mention Energy assault. But only the two primaries?
My thoughts for this was an Elec/Energy Dominator. Poo Pooing the electrical controls for PvP?
No props for Ice or Earth assault? Both have power boost, and Earth Assault has the extra hard hitting hold in it too; I <3 Earth Assault). Ice assault was always what I saw in zone, especially that one individual we all know and love. I personally never cared for anything else in that set, but did want to give Energy a try as I already have Earth down.

Hi Masque. This sounds like fun. I'm a veteran player of PvE but am interested in learning PvP. I definitely feel most comfortable playing dmg dealers (1. Blasters, 2. Scrappers, and recently 3. Stalkers) or control toons.

As far as secondaries, earth/ice both do have power boost which is nice to add some additional time to holds but their ability to do ranged damage is pretty minimal so it really changes the toon from a spike setup/damage toon to just setting up spikes. I have seen some pretty nice /thorny assaults.
Again, I am just offering up builds that I know will work and I know how they work. If you feel strongly about trying ele/nrg I would have no problem with you rolling that.

I will be making a post shortly about the plan for characters.
This is looking like we will start the 2nd week of November, I will start doing invites, talking to people about their builds and offering some teaming opportunities for acclerated xp obtainment next week.

Note: We will be using both threads for discussions of PvP during this league. Questions/Comments concerning this event specifically should be posted here under the "Boot Camp" thread. Questions/Comments about PvP in general should be posted under PvP University thread as that will help anyone with general PvP questions on Victory.
Voodoo, while almost anything is viable in PvP with the right build and funding. I would like people to make choices from the list of powersets on the PvP University Thread.
One of the issues is if you have 3 psi blasters and 1 fire blaster, the fire blasters attacks 'hit' faster and can telegraph who the spike target is which can hurt a team. Likewise someone trying to play a dark as a healer will only hurt the team they are on.
You will be given the choice to pick from a big list of possible characters and any other pvp character ideas you have, you can run by me and we can see if it sounds viable or not.
The real reason for this hardline approach to powersets is I just want people to have fun not after 3 weeks go "wow, this toon really sucks in pvp, I quit".
