Personally I dont think this game needs "secret identities" as the way I see it me when I'm not sitting in this chair logged into the game is my secret identity. If I wanted to just hang around in-game and eat/clean/poop/work I would play the Sims.

I wish people would stop pretending that a console button masher with an MMO paintjob to suck in gullible PC gamers is some sort of genuine competition for CoH.

Im pretty sure DCU Online is going to be a great action based MMO game.
They have DC comics big boys for the histories and art.
And it will bring a lot of people to play it for sure. Devs are taking their time with that game.
Competition is good, you guys dont even tried that game and you are trolling against it just because you love CoX. I love CoX but theres no reason to be disrespectful with other games or devs.
I think that is an inmature behavior.

1. No one said anything disrespectful of their Devs.

2. Games don't have feelings. They're not human beings. They're not gods, either. There is no reason one should have a moral imperative to have an a priori stance of respect toward them. Lack of respect toward a game is not a sign of immaturity -- but anthropomorphizing games might be.

I give people same credit I get from them.
I always try to express my opinion in a respectful tone and then "The guys with thousands post who are in CoX since day 1" come and lol at me or other players.
Everyone got a opinion, having more post dont give you the right to think people are always wrong. And thats what guys like you do.

Let's drop the "High Post Count people are always looking down on low post count people and picking on them, etc." thing, please. (While that's not exactly what you said, you ARE the one to bring post count and start dates into this. No one else cares.) It's a completely irrelevant stat, a function only of how frequently one discusses the game.
Even start dates, the other stat YOU AND YOU ONLY bring up are not worth much, if you consider that they may reflect accounts that started early but lapsed for quite a while, and thus do not gaurantee long lengths of gaming.

But seriously, you overreacted a bit from Zombie Man's comments.
Calm down.

DCUO? Yeah, haven't looked at it. I'd be hesitant to switch MMOs when I've built up so many here.

CO? Has a bitter smell to it from that stunt when they tried to poach players from here. And from Jack's involvement with the game.
I could go on, but "Compare and Contrast" threads are against the rules, as our mods have already made quite plain.

But you are going to get a biased sample here. This is a board made up only of CoH players. They are here because they enjoy the game and may or may not enjoy others. Going to a CO board will get you a sample of gamers of enjoy CO and might/might not enjoy CoH.
Going to a DCUO board....is that game even out yet?

I didnt compared, again I just said there's no reason to talk crap about that game just because is competition.
Just because I saw that unrespectful tone, and that annoys me, so I express my opinion.
There are people in this forums who act like haters to whatever brings some competition againts CoX, or whoever express some kind of dissapoint with the direction of the game.
I think is sad that this forums looks like a sect sometimes.

Post count is nothing, post quality is what matters. Irrelevant stat is irrelevant.

I made that statement to indicate that *I* was tempted to throw out some compare/contrast to indicate my choices, but would refrain from doing so, and why. That particular statement wasn't intended to refer to your posts.

So Im really annoyed with the current trend of cake decorating. On all the shows they have the cakes that are concepts they just use tons of fondant to make it look like anything. Fondant isnt that tasty. Quit decorating cakes to look like things and just make cakes that taste good.

The videos that have been released by the DCUO people showing the animations, attacks and gameplay of that game are more than reason enough to post against it. It looks like crap. I would walk about three steps through the tutorial, then log my lumbering lame bear of a character out and never play again.
