New Fitness Drawback
Inherent does not mean unslottable. Inherent simply means you get them without using any power selections.
Once you respec, they are granted automatically, but you can slot them just like you can now (sooner if you want to). So you get to keep all your enhancers and slot them just like you do now and you get three (or 4) more power picks.
Why Blasters? Empathy Sucks.
So, you want to be Mental?
What the hell? Let's buff defenders.
Tactics are for those who do not have a big enough hammer. Wisdom is knowing how big your hammer is.
They'll be inherent once you respec as the fitness pool will no longer be a selectable option. Just put some slots into the (now) inherent powers, put your set IO's in there and tada!
This is what happens when you don't sleep!
Thanks for the quick response. I was just rereading the dev info and they do mention you do not lose the slots (meaning you can slot them as inherent).
I just returned to the game last weekend after being off for 6 months and there are a lot of changes with i19. Sorry for troubling everyone and again thank you for the prompt responses
There are zero draw backs to this change.
Inherent Fitness can be slotted and can take all those yummy procs still, thus, you lose literally nothing there. When you respec the fitness pool will be inheritent and will accept slotting from level 2. Just like a typical respec all of your enhancements will be available to be replaced into whatever power you want, so you just put your IO sets back into place.
You gain 3 new powers slot that you can choose to use for set mules, flesh out your attack or just to put whatever there, you don't even have to use those powers if you really want but I'm 99% positive that there is atleast 1 power that you can take that would be moderately useful

You also can take a new power pool, since fitness won't count towards the limit of four power pools once it becomes inherent. And you can take powers that don't require many slots that may be helpful.

It's good that your character has powers you like and not the same powers as everyone else...but a lot of people find Dark Pit useful (it stuns bosses if you have any other stun power) and Nightfall is a very good power for general combat (perhaps not so much against AVs, though, which seems to be your specialty).

Night Fall is a mainstay power on all of my Dark Blast using Defenders, but then i rarely solo AVs and frequently fight large groups of regular enemies, which is where Night Fall is an awesome power.
If you can't find 3-4 powers that can be useful without slotting then you're not thinking very hard, even if they're purely utility powers or proc mules.

Agreed. Unless of course you want to do less damage (and debuff) to far fewer foes at the same time. I only build "offenders" though, so I suppose YMMV.

Torrent is a high magnitude KB that KBs Bosses. Use it and you get to follow up with two powers before they can react. It's also good for repositioning scattering foes back onto your Tar Patch.
Pit + Howling Twilight = Stunned Bosses. The entire spawned is stunned and you get free shots.
NightFall = Cone Damage. It's not high damage... until you multiply it by the 10 foes you're hitting at once. So, instead of doing 40 damage (unenhanced), it's now doing 400 points of damage. Alternate NightFall with Tentacles for a spawn that's held on the Tar Patch and having it's damage melted away.
See it all in action.

Nightfall was one of the best things I got on my dark/dark. It's good enough that some people take it at 20 and wait until 22 for stamina.
Since your concerns have been addressed I thought I'd just remark on this. If you don't have Night Fall on your */Dark Defender now, I strongly suggest you pick it up.

Dark Pit and Torrent can be useful in their own way, as others have mentioned (my Rad/Dark doesn't have Dark Pit, for example, because I don't have another AoE stun to stack it with). But if I have a Dark Blast character without Night Fall, that's because the character hasn't yet reached 12 (Defender) or 22 (Corruptor leaving room for Stamina at 20, though that would change in I19)

Yeah. Gloom, Tenebrous Tentacles, and Night Fall are the "must-take" powers in Dark Blast.

Put 5 Posi and 1 range IO in TT and they are almost identical range.
is it a theme character?
Uh, I think you got that backwards. Dark Blast's aprimary for Corrs, so Corrs get Night Fall at 12, whereas Defenders have to delay it for Stamina.

I hope someone can clarify this.
Fitness power is now an inherent power.
I have read in the dev section that i still need to respec.
My issue is regarding enhancements! If i respec out my current fitness powers i lose 100% regen and almost 50% health bonus (because i lose performance shifters and numina's).
I have not noticed any changes in my character soooooo.....why is having them as inherent power any use to me?
As a dark defender i can now pick up Dark Pit, Torrent, and NightFall - big "why would i do that?".
Changing the powers means i gain little offence but lose a lot of defence and health. I am an AV Killer so this is not a good thing!
Question 1. Are the powers inherent as soon as i respec or are they already inherent?
Question 2. If they are not yet inherent then why would i want to respec if it reduces the effectiveness of my character?
