Unfortunately I would not bet a single dollar that this is why its getting cut short.

I am totally excited over Issue 19 coming out, but I could easily wait a couple extra days if it meant the Halloween event would last a couple more days. I have to agree with Bad_Influence though, I highly doubt they are skimping on the Halloween Event in order to get Issue 19 out any earlier. I think it would be a safe bet to say mid-November to Mid-December for Issue 19, especially since DCUO has been pushed back so much. No rush for Issue 19 now.

What I would really, really like this year is for Trick or Treating to drop large inspirations like they used to. I was very disappointed that they were eliminated last year. I'd be happy even if the drop rate for large insps was relatively low, as long as there was *some* chance.

I don't mind them no longer dropping the inspirs. The way I look at it, the only important rewards for ToTing was the costumes, costume salvage, and the badges. For me anything else was just more garbage to manage while I was getting the rest. Still, I do see your point I guess.

so it's really hard for you to hit F1 and keep a row clear, or to go 3-1 and turn the junky ones into defense or damage to greatly improve your efficiency?

Huh.

Also big inspirations go for 100k+ on the market.
Not huge money, but hardly a 'garbage' drop.

Considering that Tier 3 Inspirations are about to cease to be the best ones, I can live without them. Honestly, I have loads of them already and replacign them isn't too difficult through normal play.

I have two SG's that I run, one has two storage bins dedicated to large inspirations only and the other has three bins. I seem to earn them faster than I can use them. Which is fine for when I really do need them, but not much use anytime else. I also don't sell them on the market. Everything I do sell on the market gets sold cheap, but I have a strong feeling that it is mostly marketeers buying and I don't want them profiting too much, so I either give away the large inspirations to new players or sell them to a vender. So in the end while I would not complain if they did add them back in to the Halloween Event, I won't complain if they leave them out either.

What's this? I haven't heard anything about new inspirations, what'd I miss?

There are new Tier 4 inspirations coming. Check the markets, they're already listed (although there are none available at the moment).

Q. Just wondering Posi, where are the new dance emotes we were told would come with GR?
A. Positron: Whoops, my bad.

1387 badges, and counting

Agreed, I'd prefer an extra few days of Halloween, ideally through Sunday, November 7th. From a marketing standpoint, I'd publish I19 in mid-November, even if it was ready now so it acts as a bridge between the Halloween and Winter events.

Honestly, I'd like to see the Halloween events be EXCLUSIVE to Halloween. The way the zombies and supernatural thing is available 24/7 makes it EXTREMELY hard to actually do the events because nobody gives a rat's behind about them.

Which would make it so very few of there customers can actually play the event. I don't know about you, but I will be out handing out candy with one of my children for a good portion of the night and the other child will be walking around, under parental chaperon, getting candy from the neighbors. That effectively cuts out every single person in my family from being able to play this game for about a four hour block. Add to that different church "Fall Festival Events" going on earlier in the day, and church before that. Pretty much the whole day lost to gaming.

I'm not saying every player will have this problem, but enough of them will that it would be annoying and create a lot of negative feedback besides.

As well as a Recluse costume just being confusing to them.

Not to harsh on your complaining buzz, but you do realize that the Halloween event goes on for for about two weeks, give or take, right?

I believe the person in question is wanting the spookies to happen exclusively during [the] Halloween [event] rather than all year around, to concentrate interest in doing them, much like having the winter activities only happen during the winter event keeps interest in them higher.

I wasn't complaining, I was explaining. Very different.

As for what the person was stating, why not let them clarify it? Reading what they said, leads me to believe that they meant Halloween only, not the Halloween Event. At least that is how I interpret "I'd like to see the Halloween events be EXCLUSIVE to Halloween". If they did mean it differently, then fine. I will wait for THEM to clarify though.

Yes, I mean the Halloween weeks, instead of being YEAR ROUND as the are now. As it stands now, they are merely an annoyance to those doing task forces that require "Kill X in Y" missions.

Now this I don't disagree with. It never made sense to me to have them going on all year either. Your last post had me a little confused though. It seemed to say you only wanted the Halloween Events to be on Halloween.

Wow, you definitely showed us!

/snark

But on the real, dawg...you're talking about a group of players who think building a prestige bonfire out of tens of billions of inf is just silly fun.

So, uh, keep on vending?
