Praetorian Epic Archetypes
Epic ATs are there with a storyline tied to them. Given the four possible paths they already put you through, 1-20, I can't really see either of those being EATs. Costume set options and/or power customization options, sure - perhaps after finishing the appropriate side's arcs - but it doesn't really call out "EAT" to me.
Besides, still waiting on Coralax and Blood of the Black Stream. We know Castle still brings the second one up in meetings, and there are enough hints at interesting storyline that, yeah, I want to see it too. Let Praetoria fill out (or fill in?) a bit more before dealing with a Praetorian EAT.
Subject Parallel: Deceased Equine
Conclusion: Forgone
Required EAT: Rikti
Reasons: Multiple
Body type: Unique
Story: Unique
Resulting Levels: Win: Exceedingly High

Nah. Not now. It took CoV like 6-7 Issues to get it's own EAT, Praetoria can be patient just as long.
Before we worry about Praetorian EATs (that acronym makes me hungry), lets get it such that you can do Praetorian content from 1-50 first
If we get a new EAT, I hope it transforms like Khelds.
I love the idea of what Khelds do, but I only have 1 PB and probably won't play any more until there's some body/color customization options for the transformations.
I want a transforming AT that has more variety in what you change into.
Nah. It'd likely either be closer to SoAs or completely unique.
I hope it goes closer to the SoAs concept(NPC-gone-Player),with the cool holds and energy animations!

PPD/Resistance and Clockwork EAT options would be good. Syndicate would be decent.
Clockworks and Seers would be my guess.
BIOSPARK :: DARKTHORN :: SKYGUARD :: WILDMAGE
HEATSINK :: FASTHAND :: POWERCELL :: RUNESTAFF

I think PPD/Resistance fit more into the Loyalist/Resistance lore and have also unique costume pieces, weapons and powers.
I think we'll probably get something along the PEAT lines but almost certainly not before there's a full 50 levels worth of content to work through and I hope this time it'll be right.
Khelds were good but overly complex, but with a great story. VEATs are great to play but the story line is pants, so maybe we'll get something that gets both marks right
Thelonious Monk
Possibilities are endless really, khelds were two ATs which transformed into creatures with unique powers. SoA were two ATs that broke down into several subclasses. (Yes I believe Huntsman and Widow Hybrids deserve their own respect)
Granted I haven't honestly spent much time Praetoria side, I do however have an idea. As the years of this game as gone on, customization has improved greatly. Why not create a customized AT, take Clockwork and expand their base. In a sense, building your very own robot drone.
Have a set secondary to create some balance, but give choices to the primary. For each of the nine power choices simply have a drop box that lets you choose from 4 or more choices. Defining what goes into each drop box will keep tiers in balance with other ATs in the game.
For example, the Tier 1 power choice could have say four blast powers. The Tier 2 could have 2 Blast 2 Holds for example. (Of course the powers in general depend on the design team).
As an example.
Tier 1 Choices:
A. Charged Bolts
B. Flares
C. Power Bolt
D. Shriek
Tier 2 Choices.
A. Lightning Bolt
B. Fire Blast
C. Tesla Cage
D. Char
Being able to keep only one, but being able to change your choices at a tailor. Of course the choices I hope would be more diverse, my example was kept small for sanity sake. I personal think this would be a lot of fun, plus bring something unique to the game.
given the 1-20 thing, its entirely plausable for someone to reach 20 as a Preatorian and unlock the Epic AT, then do 1-20 again as the new AT in Praetoria (having new mission tracks as SoA / Peacebringers do) that integrate current missions as well as branching off towards the level 15 mark the give an alternate method of learning of Primal Earth and subsequently heading there.

Sorry to say, but a Praetorian EAT that's a Resistance or Loyalist member would just...blow.
We already have access to Syndicate, Resistance, Loyalist, and Clockwork pieces. Content allows you to to be a member of either the Loyalists or Resistance already.The only unique thing about them would be powersets, and even then, they'd be much better off just giving us their powersets for other ATs as opposed to making an entire, unique AT for them.
Give me a Rikti EAT.
I'd prefer some new villain group to come along after the Incarnates start stomping around, then see if we can go from there with a whole new powerset, instead of mixed up ATs.
That would more than likely require creating the Rikti dimension. Not exactly feasible anytime soon.

You're a Rikti Traditionalist, working with Vanguard and signing up in City Hall to help fight the enemy Rikti with your newfound human allies. Toss in a few storyarcs centering around how the human race doesn't quite trust you yet and how you're working hard to prove that the Rikti are a respectable, primarily pacifist species and, for the most part, want peace while fighting the Restructurists.
Conversely, those in CoV could be Resctructurists seeking to aid their fellow Rikti in taking over Earth. They would get story arcs centering around how they stand a much better chance of survival in the Rogue Islands due to their stance in the war, and have a much easier chance of gaining the power to win the war, despite how close it is to ending, thanks to the connections and allies that can be made there.
Bam. Story's taken care of.
That wouldn't be Praetorian, though.

I just mentioned earlier how I'd prefer a Rikti Epic AT over a Praetorian, considering you can pretty much make a Praetorian Epic already aside from getting special graphics for a few neat powers, then I defended my case.
I never said it was >.>

Any PEATs would need to be mentally aware and flexible enough to be able to be used by both sides, noy just the Resistance.

Those would both have problems becuase of how mindless they are when they're nor reprogrammed or set free - a non-reprogrammed Clockwork just goes about its normal tasks without thinking, and a Seer that hasn't been set free just floats around looking for "bad" thoughts without really knowing who she is, where she is, or what she's doing.

Examples:
The clockwork, blessed with natural (albeit technologically based) logic, adore order and conformity. Their higher-level control programs that organize and maintain all the myriad aspects of running Cole's utopia begin to question his (Cole's) ultimate purposes and "break-away" to form a new "race" of it own. Ever heard this story. cough:::cyclon:::cough
The seers, a subjegated human clone-race blessed with unnatural "empathy" for fellow humans are being drawn more and more into the web of suffering that Cole has created by his "unnatural" rule. They develope stronger willpower to resist all the controls put in place that make them normally docile. One can only imagine the fury of a freed soul when the "entire" truth of Cole's empire suddenly floods into their conscience.
In both these cases, the outward "mindless" actions that we currently witness from time to time are simply "symptoms" of a greater event to unfold.
P.S.: I am expecting the Praetorian epics to be different than what we have seen in the past. If we expect there to be two, then my expectation would be one that is inherently "villainous" and one that is more "heroic" in it's tendencies. Clockwork would fall into my "villainous" role, and Seers would tend toward the people and be Heroic.
BIOSPARK :: DARKTHORN :: SKYGUARD :: WILDMAGE
HEATSINK :: FASTHAND :: POWERCELL :: RUNESTAFF
But both of those examples you gave would be close to the Resistance - they're both breaking away from Tyrant - at least one PEAT would need to be able to work as a loyal servant of Tyrant, and while the standard Clockwork and Seers are both loyal to him, they're still too mindless to function as independent enforcers of Tyrant's rule.

Who is to say what "intellegence" actually lurks behind both these factions, developing its own "identity". Perhaps their goals begin to take shape over time and become more apparent as "willfull" manipulation of the system rather than apparent "random and mindless" actions.

What?
Have you even played the Praetorian arcs?

Dear Devs(they will never read it,I know,but trying does not hurt..much)I don't know if this is an unanimous opinion on all the playerbase, but I think that a T.E.S.T or PPD and Resistance Heavy Hands ATs for Praetorians would be pretty AWSOME.Or at least give us the PPD and Heavy Hands gloves!
