So... Lair of the Shadow Broker

Anybody complete the latest ME2 DLC?

I finished it yesterday and liked it, perhaps my favorite part were the extended dossiers and vid feeds.

Out of the dossiers Legion is my fav, his conversation with EDI and his MMO experience. Fun stuff.

That and Jack's penchant for emo poetry cause me to grin. Really good DLC can not wait for the other bridging DLCs to come out.

Pure, uncut awesome.

Nearly **** a brick when I first saw the Shadow Broker.

It was funny; I'd just started a new playthrough a few days before this came out (gotta have a save file for every available romance ) with the intention of making this my Tali save.

However, the stuff with Liara was so compelling, I switched to that and decided to do another run through with Tali later. This also makes me wonder if we can expect DLC featuring Ashley/Kaiden in the future.

Damn you all! I was gonna play the new episode of STO, but now I'm going to have to dig into this.

Yeah, loved it. The fight with Vasir was great, probably the best they've done in either game, though the one with the SB himself wasn't as good. I suspect it's cos he bugged out ro something, as all he did was hide behind his shield firing off the odd burst from his gun while I repeatedly headshot him with the Widow (love that gun soooooo much ).

The stuff with Liara at the end was spot on. Very, very glad I didn't cheat on her.

And of course, the dossiers were a great blend of hillarious and touching. From Miranda's attampts to find someone on an online dating site to Grunt learning about sharks and dinosaurs

This bodes very well for ME3. Just a pity we'll probably have to wait over a year for it

Yeah, this is considerably better. While I do love the new diplo missions, and so far the Breen ones have been fun, this last one was "meh".

I personally loved all the quips about various things from the 1st game like, the comment about the skycar (?) performing better than the MAKO. Or how it was nice when "everything could be fixed with omni-gel."

Yeah, I cracked up pretty good at that one.

Yup, I've played it as well and really liked it. They really put a lot of polish into this one, and it really shows. Amazing visuals as well. There's a lot of nods to fans, definitely recommended.

I've also finally finished writing my full review on it today, if anyone cares to check it out. Also placed a few screenshots from my main character's playthrough.

Took me a while to decide whether to review it at all, considering the fact that I was a designer for the first game. But... meh, I'm not connected to the second game anyway nor the DLC's, and haven't worked for BioWare for a few years now, so I just went ahead and did it.

Best ME2 DLC yet. ^_^

For gameplay, I liked Overlord better than LotSB, but I still had a lot of fun playing LotSB and actually getting to interact with Liara made me glad I stayed faithful!

I'm hoping an Ashley/Kaiden pack will be next. But I wouldn't mind some immediate consequences from ME1 & ME2 creeping in on me already, too. All in all, both this and Overlord have well worth the points that I'm not sure I felt some of the other DLC packs have been.

Considering my Shepherd has been loyal to Ashley, I would love a DLC pack focused on her.

I stayed loyal to my relationship with Liara, so I'm satisfied. Though I can't help but wonder if they're going to do some sort of epilogue on ME3 that reveals what she's going to do with her situation once the Reaper threat is no more.

Goodbye, I guess.

Overlord surprised me.

I mean, rogue AI/VI were nothing new to the series, but the hovertank is always fun and the corpses strewn about while creepy computer faces shouted at you created a good atmosphere.

And then Shepard pushes the button and things got VERY interesting.

A neat little twist to the mission and a quite moving ending and choice really sold that arc.

P.S.
Armless droid running about. Did everyone pull the Renegade trigger?

Speakng of making a choice, one day my Shep is gonna have to answer to the Illusive Man for all his decidedly anti-cerberus choices. That'd be cool DLC and would be doubly so if it could alter Shep's status to a rogue operative in the 3rd game.

It would be cool to have a mission string that officially took place after the assault on the Collector base, and have it shaped by the decision to save or destroy the whole thing. Personally, I'd like it if my Shepard(s) had the chance to come in from the cold and rejoin the Alliance Navy, and maybe provide some extremely damning evidence against Cerberus in the process.

Yeah, every damn time that stupid thing popped up and did its "alijngfasdufngafjdbg" thing, it scared the $#!% out of me. I knew it was coming, but it still got me. And the very end of that mission was wild. And no, I didn't....but it was still funny, lol.

Also since we're on the subject of new things, at about midnight I reached out really far and found a halo.
