Q's about stealth cap...

Ok, so I have this cold/sonic defender at level 28 or so. So far he as Arctic Fog, Super Speed, and a stealth proc in sprint. Right now this is enough to get me past level 50 bosses without them noticing, But I'm still concerned about Snipers and Ritki drones being able to spot me. Is it true that they completely see through stealth no matter what, or is there a level of stealth that can be attained that they will not see you through?

Just wondering before i dedicate the stealth pool to my build whether or not it'd be worth it.

Oh, and Crimson demands you play this arc-> Twisted Knives (MA Arc #397769)

With all of those powers, you are currently at your Stealth cap anyways. Yes, Rikti drones ignore Stealth no matter what, but even if they didn't, adding more Stealth on your character wouldn't help.

Rikti Drones ignore stealth, but aggro at the same range as normal mobs.

Not sure about snipers - I think they may have longer perception range, but capped stealth helps there, but don't quote me on them.

Snipers have perception radius 149 ft
Turrets and GMs 100 ft
Bane Scouts 83 ft

Rikti drones, KoA and some Rularuu ignore stealth altogether.

Fix'd, I think. Only the big eyes should be able to see you.

No point in taking the Concealment pool. Stealth and Invisibility won't stack with Arctic Fog anyway. The only stealth power that will stack with other stealth powers is Hide.

Arctic Fog, Shadow Fall, Cloak of Darkness, Superior Invisibility, Steamy Mist, Cloaking Device, Stealth, and Invisibility are all mutually exclusive. If you are running any one of them, you cannot run any others. Toggling another stealth power on will detoggle the first. I'm sure there's a couple I'm missing, but you get the idea.

You've already stacked as much stealth as a non-stalker character can stack. Super Speed and Stealth IOs will stack with those powers though, because they are considered to be travel powers.

Just to add to those mobs mentioned above, I thought it was posted somewhere that Longbow Eagles also can see through stealth or ignore. There was a discussion, hmmm, a year or two ago, about stalkers not being able to get in to large group of Longbows and AS. Not finding it atm. So not 100% sure anymore.

If you open the combat attributes window and set it to monitor stealth radius you can see what your current radius is. If it's blue you're already at the hard cap.
I always monitor the radius on stealthy alts so that i can tell when suppression ends. My illusion controllers are always at the hard cap when running Superior Invisibility.

I *just* did a Longbow mission on my stalker. They aggroed as I would expect them to, just like any other mob. If they did, they don't any more.

Doesn't Shadow Fall stack with a stealth IO? I have a Defender with both and I thought there was a big difference when I ran both.

Longbow Eagles, as well as some Cabal witches, have a power called [Positioning]. It's a short range PBAoE which acts as an attack, causing the player's stealth to drop. It's meant to drive them out of melee range. You can easily test this by using stealth and staying 8' (range of the power) away. You'll see that they will ignore you until you get closer.

edit: Linky to answer I got when I had a question about Cabal ignoring my stealth.

Yes, it does stack. That's what ClawsandEffect said.

Ah, thanks very much.
All I could remember someone mentioning it and a dev (also Castle I thought) confirmed something was going on with Longbow Eagles, but the details were too hazy.

Fixed. Super Speed is the exception that proves the rule in PvE, as it stacks with other powers. But non-toggle stelth powers will always work. See Grant Invisibility and Group Invisibility for example.

Arctic Fog: +35 StealthRadius
Super Speed: +35 StealthRadius
+Stealth IO: +30 StealthRadius

Boss perception: 54ft
Turret/GM perception: 100ft
Sniper perception: 149ft

Defender StealthRadius cap: 200ft

Arctic Fog and Super Speed (or Fog+IO, or SS+IO) together are plenty for normal encounters. The IO you've added covers you for everything except snipers (you would need another 49ft), critters which ignore stealth (Rikti Drones and Rularuu Sentries have already been mentioned, for example), and enemy players with +perception (while SS doesn't provide stealth in PvP, your fog and IO together provide 689 StealthRadiusPlayer, greater than a player's base 500ft perception)

If you're really worried about snipers, your only option is to team with a friend who has Grant Invisibility (+55ft) or Group Invisibility (+60ft), or reroll as an Illusion Controller (Superior Invisibility alone will put you at the stealth hard cap, or you can add Group Invisibility to yourself and Controllers have access to Arctic Fog and Steamy Mist)

An empowerment station in your base can add another stealth power for 1 hour which doesn't suppress, but it's only 25ft, so it's not strong enough.

Ok, it wasn't so much "I wanna be invisible!" but i saw how much i could stack up choosing powers/IOs i was already going to use and was wondering how much more i needed to get past anything and everything.

Guess either way it isn't gonna happen. Cool beans, makes my power choices easier =)
