I have never gotten them in a group i have seen people get two in 1 mishion a few times.

The times i solo i have much better luck running at +2x8 with bosses.

The first thing you need to ask yourself if your not seeing purples is how often do you solo at x8 or x6.

An yes it seems like trap of the hunter an essence of cure an a few others drop a lot more then the more rare ones.

purple drop rate is next to zero. I'v NEVER gotten one.. ever. Solo or other wise.

But then again if I want Phat Lewt I'll play WoW or something. Not like the Purple Sets are that great anyway, or drastically more powerful.

Ammo switching for Dual Pistols was my idea:

You notice them more, because of the rage factor.

Having gone through nearly 200 "random rolls", mostly from hero merits, since I18: I didn't get all that many Traps of the Hunter or Ghost Widow's. I know, because those things take freakin FOREVER to sell.

So you think you're a hero, huh.

I seem to recall that a few issues back the reward merit random role (and enemy drops too?) were weighted so that recipes that could be slotted in more powers would drop more. So you actually have more chance of getting a recipe from a ,say, ranged damage set than from a sleep set.

And my personal experience with converting my stacks of reward merits to Hero merit random rolls over the past week or two seems to back this up. Out of 100+ recipes I haven't gotten a single one from sleep sets, 1 from a confuse set, 1 sniper set, 1 stun, 2 trap of the hunters, 3 perfect zingers, a handfull of the various debuff sets, a good deal of healing, hold, resistance and defense sets, but mostly it was ranged and melee damage sets.

Not that people who complain about purple drop rate would listen to me (or anyone else), but for those of you who are reading this thread and don't know this yet.... selling purple drops are not a good way to make money in this game.

I gotta make pain. I gotta make things right. I gotta stop what's comin'. 'Least I gotta try.
