Here is a build I threw together. I have a toon in the works and I have a farm made. I just haven't used it at all. The farm is a bunch of fire melee guys. So all I basically care about is a little s/l and a whole lot of fire resistance. How did I do? What can I improve on?

I'm going to be brutally honest. That build is terrible. You have absolutely no single target damage for handling the occasional boss, and your AoE isn't even good.

Weave, Taunt, the ENTIRE body pool, Handclap, Temp protection, ALL of that needs to go. Replace them with stuff that is actually useful, like Haymaker, KoB, Lightning Bolt, Elec Cages, and Ball Lightning.

SS/Fire is insanely easy to farm with vs Fire opponents. My SS/Fire is on the Behemoth Farm right now, it is barely IO'ed out, and I can farm +4x6.

Don't bother building for anything other then +Recovery, +End and +Recharge. If you are facing Fire enemies, you don't need anything else.

Your slotting is still very weird, alot of things are slotted unnecessarily, and some not slotted enough. For instance, Ball Lightning is a real attack, and should be slotted as such, not just having 1 Damage in it.

Also, you have no KB protection.

Just because something CAN be slotted with Purples, doesn't mean you SHOULD slot it with purples. That 10% +Recharge isn't worth it if your other powers are undslotted.

Here is a much more streamlined, and ultimately cheaper build.

I'd take the Flight pool over Leaping, just to get Air Superiority which is a great single target damage mitigation tool. If you're not taking Leaping to get Acrobatics for KB protection, then Flight is the way to go IMHO. Punch and AS are a nice 1-2 punch as they have the same base recharge time. I'd also just stick with Electrifying Fences and Ball Lightning and drop Mu Lightning to keep your focus on AoEs. That's just my take on things. I've got a SS/FA/Mu at lvl 44 and that's the route I've been going.

And I have a SS/FA/Mu that I have at 50, and have been farming with for years.

Air Sup is totally unnecessary. Punch, Haymaker and KoB are more then all the single target damage you need.

Mu Lightning is incredibly useful for catching runners. It also deals significantly more damage then Air Sup. Out of all of the single target attacks, I use Mu Lightning the most when farming.

As much as I like air superiority, I wouldn't make a fire armor toon without leaping. I like having immobilize protection too much from combat jumping. It annoys me to no end to be rooted in place like some squishy.

I take the easy way out and fight mobs that don't immobilize me. I also don't worry about runners.

Use whatever works for ya but I loves me AS.

I do not understand why farm-built Brutes continually take the Tanker APPs. For farm builds they're terrible, especially if they're not Pyre Mastery.

Would this make a decent farmer? I intended him for regular PvE stuff and if incidentally can make a decent farmer, even better. Afraid his AoE outside of Burn is quite lacky and I've been struggling to softcap him to S-L without the PvP IO. Also, rage might be a tad tight when facing rchg debuffs since it only have a 10.5 sec margin, but I am forgetful and didn't take Hasten since can't leave it in auto.

Any improvements keeping him S-L softcapped will be welcome btw:

If you do Oblits I'd do 5 of them (minus the proc) plus a rech/end piece from one of the knockback sets (Force Feedback or Kinetic Crash).

Got mine slotted with 5 pieces of Armageddon + FF recharge proc.

Before that I had 4 eradications (including the proc), one other proc of your choosing and the FF recharge proc.

my build is on my other computer, in my other room, and I have 3 beers in front of me at this computer.

So yea, I'll try and post my build up tomorrow. It AE farms at +4/x8 with general ease by leveraging footstomp soon as you hit the spawn, and burn to melt them. Healing Flames to obviously heal and then FS again. Things.....die.
