SS/Fire Brute.

So a SS/Fire Brute is the best out there for farming right now out of any archtype?
I'd say:
1. Brutes (more expensive to softcap, but much faster than tanks)
SS/Shield/MU (have one... he is great, but after a while i have to mute my sound... KABOOOM!)
Elec/Shield/MU (have a scrapper... as fast as the SS/Shield brute, but currently without MU-Mastery)
Fire/Shield/MU
--
xyz/Elec/MU for Rikti (I love my softcapped Elm/Ela)
something with a lot AOEs/Fire
2. Tanks (easy to softcap but less damage)
Shield/SS
Shield/Elec
Shield/Fire (one more AOE than the brute version)
--
Elec/xyz
Fire/something with a lot AOEs (I love my softcapped fire/fire)
just don't use a Stone-Tank for farming... you'll be safe, but also really really bored...

I love my SD/Fire/Pyre Tank most for Farming. Even after the SC-Changes he is still faster than my Spines/Fire Scrapper and my Fire/Fire Scrapper. It's so much easier to softcap a SD-tank than a SD-brute or Scrapper, so I softcapped him at lvl32 and with his 3 AOEs at this lvl (Combustion, FSC and SC) i levled faster fom 32-50 than from 1-32. After lvl 32 he died not once while soloing +2/x8 Mishs. Though i can't say anything about Brutes, i have no >lvl40.

Just build it like a tank (which is a little bit harder, but...) and play like you are used to it... I think you will like it. Cheers!

My guides:Dark Melee/Dark Armor/Soul Mastery, Illusion Control/Kinetics/Primal Forces Mastery, Electric Armor

fire/dark (id say I have never seen one)

SCRAPPERS
spine/fire

BRUTES
fire/shield
elec/willpower
fire/fire
dark/fire
SS/fire
ss/shield
elec/shield
elec/fire
elec/stone (IOd for +recharge and +damage to negate the - recharge and -damage in granite)
ss/elec (anything that does energy typed damage unless spec'd for other things ie def, S&L res cap, etc)
Basically almost any tank/brute/scrapper combo can farm, but the quickness of it will vary.
The quickest you ask?..
Id have to say either
elec/shield brute
ss/shield brute
shield/elec tank
shiled/ss tank

and it doesnt matter what tank you rolled or personal opinion. its always been fire/fire(this is assuming your not boss farming with a buncha nubs in the ae.if you are then never mind my post and suck up your nerfed xp.)
using dreck,wolves,demons,council or bm map its still is today
blazing aura,combustion,fsc,burn,consume,fireball with f.e. and b.u. is king.always will be
i know some say sheilds but with the new nerf to sheild charge damage its not anymore.time to get over it kids.fire/fire never has to wait for the silly recharge of sc or lr.
brutes is a different story .

^ 100% agree. My Fire/Fire can farm way faster than any other tank, especially with the new FE and Burn . Hell I dont even need Fireball anymore because FE , BU , Burn and FSC and all up to+1 are dead. I throw a Combustion at the end just because I dont want the icon on my bar to get lonely from lack of use

I don't advocate AE farms. I had to go through the stupidity of the Meow Farms and the insurgence of AE Babies, through the hordes of Fire APP blasters dumping Bonfire in every spawn and saying it was "good DPS". If you're going to farm, play the game and farm, don't sit in the AE.

Last build I just handed out I charged 800 million inf for. I'll give you a heavy discount, so just 500 million inf for a "SOLID" build. I know it's still a pretty hefty price, but I'm sure it's worth it. Watch my Dark Armor Sucks video to see what my builds are usually capable of.
Or, you could do some work, post your own, tell me your build's goals and I'll tell you where you can optimize, free of charge.

Hey Guys,
I'm looking to build the best farming tank? I'm actually curious what is better, a Tank or a Brute? I prefer to play blue side rather then red. I'm looking for the ultimate farmer. Build something that can stay alive and can deal the damage. I do alot of farms for drops in addition to AE to help the lowbies. So the question is, what is the ultimate farmer? Tank or Brute? Or even a Scrapper? Which one and with what power sets. I'm also looking for some SOLID builds for whatever you suggest........so you gotta be able to back it :-P
