  2. Yeah, I had it in the 2 lowbie attacks in my ele/ele brute (and took them out a loooooooong time ago), but this is concerning an AOE-sleep which is recharging fast... but StratoNexus made it pretty clear, that it's less helpfull than I thought...

    I will slot a full Obliteration set then.

    I'm just planning a Ice/Ice Tanker and I came across this heal-proc of a sleep set. Does anyone have experiences with the proc in an AOE-Sleep? Should be nice if it applies a heal to yourself based on a chance on mobs hit. I'm thinking of slotting it in Frozen Aura which would recarge in 8-10 seconds or something like that.

    So, how does this proc erm... proc in an AOE-sleep?

  4. The teaser is ok, funny and all, but... the game looks much better on my computer... I use ultra-mode and when I watched the vid i was rather... disgusted by the optics... really lacking in that department. You will not attract new users this way. I know CoX can look better. Much better. Pump up the resolution/details and go ultra! Please!

    Aside from that... good job.

    Ticket Farming?

    Hi,

    since the number of tickets you can get per Mission has been >>fixed<< there isn't really a "farm" mission for tickets anymore. Just put some mobs that are easy for you on a map and run the mission repeatedly... or just go and do some of the higher rated AE-arcs (because some are really good). With the same effect.

  6. Every enemy group has it's interesting sides. My top-list changes depending on the character I'm playing. Here is what I like at the moment:

    1. Cimerorans... Hell are Romans hard to kill... sometimes... whe your're not using a ranged character.
    2. Rikti... Because my El/El Brute really likes them for breakfast.
    3. Vahzilok... I agree. Hard in that level range, but thy should have a come back in later levels.
    4. Firblog! Nobody likes plumpkins?

    I don't like to fight Vanguard... they are really REALLY annoying...

    Most factions have a very nice well thought through backstory. The only one I don't really like that much is the Family... except for that Johnny Sonata thing...

  8. Dark Miasma isn't overhyped... It's really that good! Really!
    Just rolled one of those overhyped Fire/Dark Corruptors to 50... well Fire is great... but in combination with Dark... the fun of Fearsome Stare, Tarpatch, Fireball, Rain, Fireball... it's just sooooo beautiful. awwwww...

    Edit: Did not read the Corruptor Forums... just thought that Rain and Patch would be a great combination to try...

    Fire/Kins are overhyped (Trollers).
    SS/Fire is overhyped (Brutes).

    Lol! This is exactly why I deleted the character after 5 Lvlvs and rerolled him... I mistyped the name the first time aswell... no he's really called "Trial and Terror"

    And the last build I listed... well I don't have the miracle yet but I'm doing solo Cimerora Missions on +1/8 without any problems... I always hated Romans but this char it's just great...

  10. Yeah, I put that there because I wnated to switch the one defense IO in Shadow fall with another Cyto... which brings me to 44,9%... But I threw out the +6% Acc now and replaced it with another Defense IO of LOTG as I don't really need the Acc...

    I have this build now and I will put in two Cytos in Shadowfall when they are available...

    Edit: Titan Sentinel does not export the slots in Health and Stamina. There are a Miracle +rec, Numina Proc and Numina Heal.

  11. Hey all,

    I'm currently running around with my Corruptor... My first and only Lvl50 corruptor in about 4 Years.

    Would you please rate my CURRENT build. I plan to move some slots (Buildup Proc doesn't increse the Damage much so I'll perhaps move it to Health for the Miracle unique).

    T n' T ist using the Cardiac End/Range Alpha which is great concerning the two cones.

    Any suggestions?

    Tip Missions

    Hi all,

    I just want to ask you if anyone read all the Tip-Missions yet. Does anyone read mission texts at all?
    I just ask this because I had to go from Hero to Villain in order to get the PPP my build required. I set the Tip-Missions to -1/2 because I did not want to level much, only to switch sides... then I started... and read the mission texts (as usual with mishes I never did before...).

    Well, the "switch to the dark side" was extremly upsetting for me (which is a good thing in this case)... and this was due to the fact, that I can't usually ( or don't want to) play "bad" characters, as I see myself as a "good (shiny) guy" (even though I really enjoyed CoV stories... the morality missions are even darker). The stories of the Tip-Missions from hero to villain are really, really worth it, that you read them.

    So I have a question for you my fellow mission text readers: Which one has in your opinion the best story, or better which one was the most hair-raising?

    For me it were those where I should mentor Blast Furnace (who was stuck in a cave) and the one with the Council parading through Paragon City... (Just trying not to put spoilers here...) These were the missions where I thought... "WTF is my character doing?!"

    Who do u want?

    VEATs (with the Teamtoggles),
    Corruptors (any except for Energy/Storm... because they are difficult to play team-friendly...)
    Dominators (because they are cool if used right... don't immob spread out mobs!)
    Earth/* & Ice/* Controllers (because I see so few of them)

    I'd like a nice mix in a team...

    What I don't like to team with are people who are doing bad ON PURPOSE... ("Please focus on the Cysts last" - "Sure" ...destroyes all cysts first).

    On top of that I like if the team uses a little strategy or at least some basic knowledge how to play, i.e. buches up mobs (not always necessary, sure), THEN immobs or holds, then beats them up together... not aggro multiple spawns, immob some spread out mobs that were just running towards the brute/tank, blasts mobs out of AOEs/debuffs/away from (stone-)Tank, and so on...

    Personally I don't NEED more slots. I like that I have to think about my builds, which is why I'm using Mids to try things out.

    I don't know if someone has already compiled a list of useful powers with only one slot, but for those who don't know what they should take I made the following list...

    Toggles that work with just one slot:

    - Combat Jumping (+def, but I'd take it anyway as all my alts are jumpers)
    - Hover
    - Assault
    - Maneuvers (I'd personnaly slot this with 5 Red Fortunes normally, but one slot would be beneficial, if you can afford the endu-drain)
    - Tactics
    - Acrobatic (if you're a jumper and don't have mez-protection)

    Click powers:

    - Hasten (If you could not take it... take it now, it's not bad with just one slot^^)
    - Vengeance
    - Any Rez
    - Any Selfrez
    - Med-Pool / Any Heal Ally Power (O2-Boost)
    - Taunt (If your Brute/Tank did not take it (shame on you :P))
    - PPP-Pet
    - Any Tier9 as "oh-shi... button"
    - Recall Friend/Telep. Foe
    - Any Aim/Build up, etc. power which i didn't take before

    I know I forgot things, what are your thoughts about this? What did you include in you builds now that you have 3 additional power choices?

    For example my Tank (Fire/Fire/Stone) took Hasten, Build up and Rise o.t.Phoenix
    My Brute (Elm/Ela/Mu) took Hasten, Build up, Pet
    My Scrapper (Elm/SD/now Fire) took the APP Fire with Fireball that he could not take previously... (after shuffeling around some slots of course)
    My Fire/Dark Corrupter got Fitness (he was running his missions without and he likes it).

    That means my brute aready runs at 90%, even without taking into account, that after the I19 respec he will also have Hasten (which I could not take due to a thight build)

    Sorry, but either my Mid's is broken or the build you posted does only have 62% DDR... I have tried to get 95% DDR for a loooong time on my Shield-Brute, and I don't think it is possible outside of PVP (could you please check if your Mids is using PVP numbers?). For a tanker... maybe, but on a Brute or Scrapper... I don't think so.

  18. Of course... but if I can build a build specifically against these mobs... NOONE WILL BE ABLE TO STOP ME! MUHAHAHAAAA! ... *thinking about what I just wrote*... See people? THIS is what happens when you change sides with your beloved Brute...

    I'm thinking of foiling the foil... with a new completely undefeatable build dishing out unbelievable damage, which nobody has thought of yet... Don't you look at me like that! I can have dreams, can't I?

  19. Have you tried the renewed Praetorian arcs in COH late game (40-50)?

    SPOILERS AHEAD!

    To me it seems the devs finally started to go around the defense minigame by introducing +to-hit-toggeled mobs... Resistance guys run around with targeting drones and my softcapped characters (even my SL-capped fire-TANK) get squished when i do not pay close attention to my agro... problem is they also have a better perception so if i get in range for taunt they have already noticed me. Also they use stealth, so don't wander carelessly in seemingly empty rooms...

    I'm starting to build a res-based tank/brute (with defenses) or something now. I want to be able to defeat these guys (and not only at +0/x1)... I need to find a way... That's what's fun to me in this game.
    Currently thinking about something with Invul or DA (as i don't like stone armor).

  20. Jeah, I know they ain't great but they help for the first 20 levels. Invisibility can be bought it's part of the complete collection items... the enhancements, which I'm after, can't

    I won't open up an NA account because I would lose the ability to play with my friends I have on my server... and I'd lose my veteran awards also...

    I want to ask if there is a way to get in contact with Paragon Studios... The link to their website paragon-studios.net is broken and i need to tell them the following:

    I preordered Going Rogue via Gamestop.com. I got everything from them, meaning the boxed Complete Collection and the bonusitem code. But now I have a big problem. The codes won't work as I have a EU-Account and the codes are obviously for US accounts only. So now what sould I do? Perhaps PS does not know, that bonusitems are for US only... I'd really appreciate if they were willing to grant me the items in exchange to my US code. I really love this game but this issue somehow spoils it for me, as I'm always thinking "These 20 levels would really be a breeze if i had the bonus items..." I know that's weak but I can't help it...

    What I did:

    I contacted NCSoft support. The guys where very fast, and nice and all, but they could not help me.

    I contacted Gamestop. They where nice too, but they told me, that their codes only work with US accounts and that they don't have codes for EU accounts.

    I really want these items. On my EU account. I'm a collector, you know? So any advice on what i should do?

    Hi!
    I have one of those... He's my main viallain (see profile pic. ) and he's a good farmer.
    What I really like about this toon is, that I can do Malta-Missions +2/x8 Without ANY problems (and can tank +4/x8 but I find that boring, killspeed-wise). Complete resistance to end-sucking ftw.
    That really makes me happy.
    I should tell you though, that I have softcapped him for S/L, this helps greatly (but wasn't cheap).
    If you don't cap him, just go tank/kill Rikti, they won't hurt you much...

    I am currently running around with a WM/DA Brute in Praetoria and I thought I could create a build for him. I chose WM because of the stun which should benefit Opressive Gloom...

    Here is my build... The thing is, it will be really expensive this way. Could someone help me improve it please? I want to stay softcapped... also I'd like to get Superjump in, but I can't find a way... Else I'll have to run around with Sprint/Ninjarun which is not so bad, but... well SJ is better.
