Value of Performance Shifter: Chance for +Endurance
It averages 10 endurance every 50 seconds, so .2 end/sec.
To give you a direct comparison, the third EndMod IO would add .04end/second. The Proc is 5x as good as the third EndMod.
Actually, Physical Perfect adds so little endurace recovery that it's almost not worth slotting EndMods at all.
I put one in Stamina, Quick Recovery, Bright/Dark Nova, White/Black Dwarf, etc. This means almost every character is going to have one and some are going to have 2 of them.
I figure I can never have too much Endurance.
total kick to the gut

This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.
The best option is to go with a level 50 Perf Shifter End along with the proc to get the +5 run speed as well.
Thanks for all the clever thoughts, though at times my head begins to spin. Maybe I should roll up a new lvl 1 scrapper and go hunt and kill skulls.

"proper" spelling of "Skuls"

As for the advice, I concur with the others - although Mid's doesn't make it
clear, the Perf Shifter +End Proc is definitely better than a third EndMod IO.
That, said, if you can put 4 slots in there, you can have both...
(Whether that's worth it or not is solely up to you to decide)

On the scrapper forums I was encouraged to slot the proc in PP and that has worked out extremely well for that toon. I have a second one in Stamina and it has helped with end management a lot. The toon in question is Kat/DA and loves to eat endurance up along with the bad guys.

Of course, it's still way better than the .04 e/s for the third end mod

While over time this is true, in practice, I find, due to the unpredictability of the proc, it's not as valuable as a flat .2 e/s enhacement would be.

Slotting endmod over +end in PP is shooting yourself in the foot. PP gives +12.5% base, so 3 end mod slots will give you an additional +12%. That's +0.22 EPS with 110 max end. One +end proc is almost as good (~+0.2 EPS) and you save 2 slots. |
I can't find my bookmark, but even in Stamina and Quick Recovery, my understanding is that the proc is always more endurance over time than even the first level 50 End Mod IO.
My understanding is for all auto powers to get mathematically the most endurance over time:
If you can only spare one slot, use the proc.
If two, use the proc plus the endmod and get 5% run speed.
If three, the proc, the endmod, and a common end mod.
If four then 4 from the perf shifter set because the set bonus works our to more endurance per second than the third end mod IO would.
Are my notes wrong?

Thank you everyone at Paragon and on Virtue. When the lights go out in November, you'll find me on Razor Bunny.
Using your notes, taking one procc as .2, testing all those combinations in Mids, and mixing in some nepkin maffs, my quackulations show you to be mostly correct.
For one slots, a single EndMod is just slightly better in Quick Recovery. With two, correct, get the 5% run speed. With three, correct, EndMods are better. With 4, EndMods are slightly better than the set.
For Stamina, one slot Procc, two set EndMod, 3 generic EndMod, 4 change to full set.
For Perfect Body, one procc, two set endmod, don't put 3 or 4 becaues it's just inefficient =D
I'm trying to decide if I want 3x lvl 50 Endurance Mod IOs or 2x lvl 50 Endurance Mod IOs and a Performance Shifter: Chance for +Endurance in Physical Perfection.
Physical Perfection grants 22.9% recovery according to Mids. 3x End Mod IOs increase this by 99.08% to 45.6%, and 2x End Mod IOs increases it to 42%. What I can't figure out is the benefit of the Performance Shifter proc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
