Known Issue: Tip rarely assigning incorrect mission

More than rarely. Happens so often, I got tired of doing tips until it is fixed.
Thank you! It happened to me and I was like, "Huh?"
I tried it in beta, dropping it and picking it back up again, and it still went to the wrong mission; however, dropping it and zoning corrected the problem.

Never had it happen in the 14 or so I have run, but good to know. Will definitely want a fix, though.

Any word about getting door missions like four zones away? Having to go from Peregrine Island to Crey's Folly and *back* is a total PITA.
Is it really too much that it can't be in the same zone or a closely connected zone?

It's yet to happen to me, but I know others that it happens to all the time.

I had this happen yesterday. Abandoning and retaking the mission resolved the issue.

I've done a few tip missions. I had it happen once, and I was mad too, because the original text sounded very interesting. =P
At least now I know how to fix it should it happen again.

It happened to me twice, but both times it happened when I was claiming multiple tip missions at once. By this I mean, I was in a regular mission and got two tip drops. I claimed the first one as Hero, then claimed the second one. I didn't notice that it showed up as a Vigilante mission. I did the first mission and got the Hero point, then did the second only to get a Vigilante fame point. Since I was a Rogue I didn't have a Vigilante progress bar.
When I claim multiple tips at once, I often have the second one "not take", and I have to go through the dialog again and select the mission again before the mission shows up in my list. I wonder if this is related. It only has happened to me when claiming multiple tips at once.

it happened to me several times in a row on my level 50 villain, but it hasn't happened once(out of 10 tips) on my mid 20's hero, hopefully this helps track it down.
edit: and unlike the above poster I always took one tip, did it, then grabbed another tip. Hope it helps!
There is a very small chance upon selecting a mission from an Alignment Tip that you will be assigned a mission from a random different Alignment Tip. You may even be given a mission that is heading counter to your goals (Hero instead of Vigilante or Villain instead of Rogue for example).
When you select your Tip mission, take a close look at the text window to be sure the title matches the tip name and the mission is set to the correct alignment. If you do get the wrong mission, you can abandon it from the Mission tab and investigate the same tip again.
We are actively addressing this issue and will update you when it has been fixed. Please continue to /bug this issue and post about it on the forums, we appreciate your help in tracking this one down.
