    PVP domi

Hey I'm new to pvp and I wanted to put together a build for grav/elec dominator, but I have no idea what to build for, + HP has been recommended to me(as well as knock back resist points), but I'm not sure what else. Any tips, or even a basic direction to go in would be greatly appreciated.
  3. The only TF I've EVER had troubles with because of team comp is STF, and that's only because melee heavy teams CAN'T kill ghost widow. Even then we might have been fine if we had better players. LRSF can be done with tanks, or lots of buffs, or dominators sleeping things, ITF can be done by whatever the hell you want.
  4. illusion dominator, one of the characters I want to make most is an illusionist, but contoller doesn't make any sense for him.
  5. Ninja run is the best money I ever spent on this game.
  6. the problem is if you have to move at all you're not getting the crit, which is dumb imo. Though it doesn't really affect me since my single target attack chain is storm->crippling->storm->cobra. I only use Eagles Claw for my aoe chain.
  7. fly is also kind of limited by character concept, running and jumping can just be an extension of being really strong OR have some mystical reason, flight and teleportation HAVE to have a power behind, and even then not all powers make sense for it.
  8. Mainly looking for level 20-30(preferably 26ish) malaise illusion: acc/rech, triple, and proc. Also looking for same level range kinetic crash: knock/dam/acc.
  9. so I may be completely crazy here, but i thought rage lost the crash if you had it perma, which is really easy. Is that incorrect, am I just making crap up?

Do the first half of the Positron arc, fighting your clones you see they are like you but a shadowy-black. I'd like that, but instead a solid Granite color. Just cause you get bored of looking at a running mountain.
The last time this was brought up they mentioned they could not do this new granite AND keep the old granite, and a lot of people like the old granite(I personally am against anything that doesn't turn me into a giant golem, you can make that giant golem customizable but no getting rid of it!).

Also anything that uses the greater fire sword/headsplitter animation, I think that's literally the only animation in the game that I think just plain looks bad and not limited.

    BS/ and /EA

by EA I totally meant energy aura, electric armor is awesome and bad ***.

    BS/ and /EA

How are these two sets in stalkers, I'm thinking of starting up a BS/EA stalker, but I know EA is considered pretty terrible for brutes, I wondered how it fared on stalkers. Same thing for BS, just wondering about how it runs for stalkers.

    Marital Arts

yeah cobra strike is definitely a damage power now, one of the best in the set, it's a waste to slot it for disorient imo(going for optimality at least, it's fine if you are going for a controlly set).
  14. Without spoiling too much praetor white DOES have connections to praetorian thugs, though they still don't look like non green trolls or use mp5's.
  15. I got a new one, I just got a crab spider, it'd be nice if that one little claw(second from the right) didn't do all the work, those other lazy claws need to get a job! It'd be nice if which claw shot was randomely selected, or at the very least one blast was shot from a different claw than the other.
  16. It's true that being begged for it can be annoying, and I'm not one to complain about not being speed boosted all the time(I took teleport, IO'd for recharge/recovery etc...), but it just seems crazy to me that so many people can be so adverse to spending 7 endurance and 1s to MASSIVELY improve the viability of the stone tank/brute. I've played buffers before in games with FAR worse UI/helpfulness than this, yeah it's annoying to have to keep someone perma buffed, but IMO if you're playing buff class it's just what you gotta do.

As for not taking it at all, it's a rediculously good buff for very little cost to the user, outside of RP reason I don't see any reason not to take it. The only power in kinetics that's even arguably around the power level of speed boost is fulcrum shift, both those powers are so far and away better than the rest of the stuff in kinetics(and the buffs in most sets in the entire game) that if you didn't take them I'd have to ask 'then why even play kinetics'.

It's also hard to know when to speak up about it as a stone brute/kin. I've seen some kins actually forget about it and need to reminded, I've seen some kins ask to be reminded when it's going down, and I've seen some kins be super touchy about being reminded(the best kin ever was one that kept it on me permanently in a random outdoor even when we weren't teamed together at all, impressive!).

You realize that the recharge on granite is slow enough that if they take it off it likely won't be up again until after the next fight starts. SB is a HUGE boon to stone tanks/brutes, they use EVERY part of SB well. They have recharge issues, endurance issues(yes even after IO's including numina's/miracle), and speed issues. It doesn't matter if they pop in and out of granite and take TP it makes their life a million times easier to have SB on, and all it takes form the kin is minimal time/endurance. That's like me saying "must taunt aura all the time because I can't bother myself with controlling my aggro".

Please for the love of god if you have SB, if you do ONE thing with it keep the stone brute SB'd.
  18. I still get the message "You increase the Critical Chance of your next attack." when i use it.
  19. I've had pretty good luck with my rolls, I've gotten a LotG recharge, 2 miracles, a numina's and a kinetic combat triple, and lots of lesser stuff in like the 20mil range. I've also gotten a mako's proc in like all of them(which is pretty wierd, I think I missed one or two but I made up for it by getting multiple in some rolls).

    MA/SR build

So I'm trying to put together my MA/SR scrapper, and I have a pretty solid build so far The endurance levels are fine, it has roughly capped defenses(melee and ranged and like. 6ish away from AOE). I've got 4 powers and 16 slots left over and not quite sure what I want to build for, as I don't quite have this build yet(I need a few more LotG and I need to respec a few powers in/out).

I definitely feel like once I have the LotG's in that I'll have a solid attack chain, and I have no super long recharge powers so I feel like perma hasten/hasten aren't terribly worth while. I could grab aid self, but I feel like in normal play my capped defenses either A. keep me up well enough that a few insp's can keep me up or B. are so ineffective that i'm just gonna roll over dead regardless(certain DE emmiters/rularuu). So aid self would only be REALLY helpful in weird fringe cases like AV/GM soloing(which i'm not sure is possible with my build or MA/SR in general). I could take darkness mastery and petrifying gaze just because stareing people into inactivity is cool(plus baslisks gaze). Maybe take crane kick with a bunch of knockback for fun(and purple mule).

My funds are good enough that I can afford/quickly work up to anything but lots of purples or the stupid pvp +def/res thing.

All in all I'm just not sure what to be building towards, so I'm looking for any suggestion or any critique on what I have already taken.

    Merits

Yeah sounds like it's the way to go, I'll probably start converting as I make my way to 50(looking at prices it seems waiting till 50 is better than staying in the low 40's).

    Merits

interesting, thanks for the reply, seems like I'll be holding onto my merits for now.

    Merits

What's the best way to spend merits on a level 50, saving up and cherry picking the good stuff, or is there a random drop level range/rarity level that has a good output?
