Scooby-Doo: Mystery Incorporated

So, has anyone else been enjoying the new Scooby-Doo series? Not only does it have what is quite possibly the best incarnation of Fred (Dense, and an obsession with Traps that hasn't been seen since Freddie's obsession with Red Herring), but I've also been really digging the references they've snuck in (Such as a teenage Pebbles and Bam-Bam seen in a beach based episode, Daphne humming the classic Scooby-Doo theme, and Shaggy and Scooby watching a Vincent Van Ghoul marathon). And I also like the new art style.

What about you guys?

Scooby Doo just needs to be put down.

I'll be honest, the last Scooby Doo series I actually liked was a Pup Named Scooby-Doo. Most of the recent stuff has *SUCKED*, big time. But the new series has actually been pretty enjoyable. In fact, they even reference an old SD episode where they discover the mask of the Creeper (The villain of the episode "Jeepers it's the Creeper!"). Not only do they mention that it was the Bank Manager (Who was the villain of the episode), but even flashback to the capture moment (Everyone in bales of hay), only done in the new Art Style.

Continuity? In my Scooby Snacks? It's more likely than you think!

Dunno, but if I find 'em, I'll let you know. But yeah, theres actual continuity, and theres even an overarching plotline that's slowly being revealed throughout the episodes (Concerning the disparence of a past group of mystery solving teams, and the role of someone who only calls himself "Mister E")

It would be hillarious if it was in reference to the old Batman/Scooby Doo crossovers.

Dangit X you got me interested in this so I watched an episode tonight and quite enjoyed it. I am gonna try catching up on all the ones I missed now. I am sending you angry, bitter, queen thoughts right now.

This was actually sort of hinted at in the original series, but never fleshed out.

Also, boo on Fred being dense. He was supposed to break the cliche of the athletic guy not being very bright.

"the reason there are so many sarcastic pvpers is we already had a better version of pvp taken away from us to appease bad players. Back then we chuckled at how bad players came here and whined. If we knew that was the actual voice devs would listen to instead of informed, educated players we probably would have been bigger dicks back then." -ConFlict

Actually, he IS bright, as evidence by his ability to build complex working traps on a moments notice. When I say Dense, I mean more about his complete inability to tell that Daphne has the hots for him.

Yup, that's the part of the show I find most interesting. I also love Grey DeLisle, so her voicing Daphne is another plus and Patrick Warburton is just fun to hear anytime even as a Sheriff.

Matthew Lillard voicing Shaggy though... I does not like.

Really? I think he is a great Shaggy.

I am thinking that Fred may grow up to be Jigsaw, though.

Well considering his voice actor he's more likely to grow up and be

Or if he's really lucky

Ok, we need a Scooby Doo/Saw/Transformers crossover, stat!

This is actually pretty good. Decent writing, good animation, and I love a good pun. "Mr. E." definitely counts here.

Our family has enjoyed it a lot. We're big Scooby fans though.

The Mancrab one where Fred freaks out when Daphne disappears was great!
