I'm fairly certain that, in another dimension, Nobuo Uematsu used that for a villains theme in Final Fantasy. It sounds gorgeous and has a sweeping, villainous air about it.

It actually took the video me showing them jumping to produce the Thunder soundeffect to see it wasn't an actual soundeffect.
Helps that this is also one of my favorite 80's songs which does increase the awesome.
