I seriously doubt that the current game engine would allow that. As it is, each person sees a different item being thrown. The item is created on your computer, not in game.

We all see different graphics when propel is used I think. It would be nice if we could all see the same due to the power randomly selecting items. Then depending on the item ie forktruck or lampshade you could either get an aoe or an st attack. The Forktruck AoE and Lampshade ST but the level of damage the same. I just think it would of been cooler hitting 2 or 3 with a car rather than somehow missing all others.

propel is one of the most fun powers in the game.
i would love it to death if it were even a LITTLE BIT faster.
it's totally useless on teams because my target is always dead before I've even hurled my lamppost or writing desk.

Why would I want to grab a nearby object when I can show off and grab something from the other side of the city with a wormhole and throw that instead?

I prefer to throw my target up into the air ... rather than wait for a wormhole to bring me something to throw at them.
Lift 6-slotted with Kinetic Crash is a wonderful thing!
I have more fun with Lift than I did with Propel (amazingly enough).
I like throwing them up in the air with Lift and then, as they are getting back up, hitting them in the face with a flat screen TV!

But having said that.. I think time could be better spent on other things.
Actually it might be possible. Just have the game look at the map you are on and choose from a list of items available from that specific map. Its not all that much different from choosing a pool of items to toss.. you just refine that pool a bit.

I believe the OP intended it to be actually taking things in the surrounding area to be the propelled items . . . kind of like a Jedi using "mind fling." However, even if it was limited to items in the surrounding map . . . there are some maps with no items. What are you going to throw if you are in a cave map populated by DE? No "stuff" around at all. The only thing to throw might be boulders . . . in which case, the power might as well be "Hurl Boulder."
It certainly is not worth the Devs spending time on it in any case. |
I'm just looking for more creativity in my combat. Your comment about not have objects in all maps is true but this is the pros and cons of the power...sometimes you can't use it. But between you and me....if there are enemies, I will always have something to "fling." "You must not be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling :-)"
I think it would be funny if they added a minion of the group you're targeting to the grab bag
There are minions on every mission, right? ;-) Some are called rikti, some are called hellions. I just want the ability to "share the love!" The boards have had some sharp people the last few days.

It's not so much that you're teleporting in an object as FedExing it in from a warehouse in Fresno.

The animation time I believe is tied into generating an image to actually propel. I have always suggested dropping the creation of random objects which I know would anger many into making propel shoot out a mini singularity. One image everyone sees the same thing and the attack should animate faster.
Solo Propel is fine. On a team it blows.
The hard things I can do--- The impossible just take a little bit longer.
If numbers are so much more important than a teammate who is fun to play with, forget about the game altogether and go play with a calculator instead. -Claws and Effect-

My comments were just comments. I love the powers I have now. Wormhole is ok but you can't send objects through it...only people.
