Why the hell are there no Water powers??
Yes, i've been reading, and i heard that they couldn't make it look "water-y", but it has been a long time ago.
I must say, the electric control was already done before you started working on it, just one chain effect added... I would love to see some water control, or water blasts. I really thing that some of the rad blast's powers look alot like water (the one with the 4 bubble-y balls thrown, for example). I think a water control/blast using the rad animation would be both realistic looking and fun to play. It's just not a superhero world w/o water control! |
Play a stormie...plenty of water pwrs in there
So what type of damage would water do? All smashing? To be realistic another damage type would have to be put into the game. Water vs Fire one would think would do much better than Cold vs Fire. And elec vs water would be better than elec vs cold. And then psychic would do double damage to poison and fighting but be weak vs bug........

My verdict on a water based powerset;
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

Cause all that water makes me hafta pee. Seriously, a team of 8 with water powers and every 30 seconds someone would need to call out for a bio break. It would take two days to get just one mission completed.
Badging in a PvP zone?
If you are treasure hunting on a battlefield wearing an enemy uniform, there is a high probability that you will be attacked.

I want water powers!!!!!!!! Using colors does not make it a water skill set!
adopt a few, make a fews and a full set is done!!
Geyser - similar to that of the lift skills on gavity or Mind
Flash Flood - similar to that of the ice past that knock downs foes. You can have the water seep up from the ground!
Water Spout - similar to Mako or storm set
Tidal Wave - Cone blast
Acid Rain - DOT with -defense and - regen
Tsunami - Nuke
Aim - Nuff Said
Any other ideas guys!!!!????!!!!
My current "water" toon is a grav/stone (grav coloured blue, stone is gemmy coloured blue, supposed to be ice).
Grav puts those ripply effects in the air, makes it look like water ripples.
As for secondaries, Kin, ff, sonics on 'trollers would do the trick, or Stone (frozen water!), psi, or thorns (blowfish ) on a dom.

as others mentioned, its a performance thing. energy blast is certainly serviceable, as is kinetics melee.thats actually what i rerolled my character to do, kin melee is very watery. it should be noted that the coralax do have some watery attacks, they don't look very good.
Was anyone ever scared of Aquaman until he got a trident hand that he could stab people with?

Another power set not being made because it's "too hard to do."

I'd be afraid of someone tinting water powers yellow.

Oh, and Crimson demands you play this arc-> Twisted Knives (MA Arc #397769)
Back before we had power customization, back on Freedom, I had the experience of RPing with someone who insisted his earth/rad character was an animated urinal cake, and his 'earth' control was... uh...
Yeah.
I guess what I'm saying is, people are gunna be gross anyway.
Rad Emission and Rad Blast can actually do pretty good imitations of water if you color them bright with teal and blue-green. Friend of mine has a water nymph character that looks pretty convincing.
