Any speed TF forming is one that I steer away from.

Then again, I don't join TFs anymore, I form them. And I form them with every intention of encouraging scrapperlock and a pile of bodies.

I've seen it happen. This is how we know they're failures. You don't rely on damage and +damage for speed, you rely on debuffs.

What server you on, Nova? Because if you are on Freedom or Virtue, I could run one for you that is nigh-guaranteed to succeed. I've got good friends.

Same thing for Victory. ITF is run all the time by great teams. Speed runs, do it for the money (defeat most or all), regular run throughs, etc. I have Champion's channels up since I have some alts there, and they run it fairly often too. And I can attest to their being good folks.

To be on the safe side for anyone wondering, though, I'd say save 90-120 minutes to an ITF run. If you know most of the people on the team and they know what they're doing, you can count on it being faster (I think I've had it go 2-3 hours with teams that didn't know what was what, but that was mostly when it first came out). I usually figure on 50-90 with mine, just because I don't like rushing and we usually defeat a fair amount of stuff.

I normally do ITFs taking from 1 to 2 hours, depending on what shaped my mind at the moment.

I am know to be an assembler of "special flavors" ITF, always choosing some kind of strange condition to the team... be it a focus on a single kind of power, on a single AT or even on a specific color for costumes...

As long as the "prerequisite" is ok, I dont care about the level of the players on it.

Only consistent rule is: No Drama, Have Fun.

Yes. I can get lost on a straight-line map.

Amen to that. I don't get too worried about what ATs we have on any of my TFs. It's usually easy to find a little of everything, and TFs with lots of Blasters or Tankers or whatever make for a fun difference.

My favorite ITF so far wasn't my fastest it was all MM night in Cimeroa. We got 8 MMs and cleared maps #1 and #2. Then we crushed maps 3 and 4
(thought didn't clear them).

It was a bit laggy in a few places but the pets kept fighting on so it was all ok.

Time: 47 mins.

Since them I haven't been picky other than to make sure we have at least one toon to take the alpha, one debuffer (almost any kind is ok), and at least one toon is a 50 and willing to start it.

My fastest ITF (17.43) was far from the most fun. Though I was shocked at the time at the end. And although we did limit it to 50's, we just took our best toons without regard to what they were and it was fine (despite only 1 debuffer and no buffers)

Actually, one of my favorite ITF runs was probably one of the worst put together PUG runs I ever did... 3 Brutes, 4 scrappers and a Rad/Rad corruptor.

Certainly not the most efficient run, but there was carnage and chaos aplenty!

My Tanker (Level 40 Invul/Mace) wound up being the main Tanker for the ITF, and I did it just fine.
And my crab spider did very well during it at level 41. I have a warshade that did respectable at level 35.

Well the original run I posted about was one that I missed. However, I just finished one up and it took I think 54 min. There was one blaster on the team who died a lot and slowed us down, but most folks knew what they were doing, and it went relatively well.

Speed seems to be proportional to the number of corrupters in your team :-)

Naw, speed is proportional to the number of offenders on the team. If you have a large number of Repeat Offenders on it I imagine the ITF would just curl up in a ball and whimper for fifteen minutes then complete.

Speed is linked to the quality of players, their expeiernce with the TF and their builds being solid to take advantage of the TF.

There are several speed groups on Virtue and none that I have run with demanded any specific AT. I have seen 30 minute all melee and 30 minute all buff/debuff.

You all have gotten me excited about doing this TF this weekend (maybe tonight!) sometime... 1 or 2 hours is just right.
If I may interject a costume question related to the ITF... When you complete the Task Force do you have access to all of the Roman armor or just a piece at a time; does it take several runs to get access to all?

Thanks!

All are unlocked on completion, apart from the Nictus Shield, you have to do an ITF 5 times to get that.

Twice isn't it? I thought it was killing the Nictus Rommie 5 times... you kill him 4 times in one ITF.

I completed the ITF this last weekend in about 1.5 hours... terrible lag - worst I have ever seen in the game (even considering old Hami raids and RWZ raids), and everybody was experiencing it. The team leader was experienced in running the ITF, as were a few others on the team, and would have led us thru it in about half the time, if it were not for the lagging.
But, it was worth the armor - now my tank (Virtue's Guardian - Shield/Axe) is decked out! The devs did a great job on the costume graphics IMO. The Roman axe (#3) and shield (romulus) combo look very unique in the game - I don't remember seeing anybody else running around with this look, so it must not be too popular.
I really need to run it again to get a better feel for it. The lag was making it quite frustrating, even so, 7 out of 8 toons on the team, fortunately, stuck it out the whole way through. We were labelling ourselves as dedicated masochists.
It was hard to enjoy the content thru the jerky graphics and such. What I did see was quite interesting. I will definitely try it again to get the story/content experience in full.

While usually true, that's not always the case. Joined an all Scrapper ITF the other day and we finished in 27 minutes. Now we had five elec/sd and two fire/sd(with all but one or two IOd out), so that is the exception. It was massive AoE carnage and was awesome
