Change the icons of Dual and Single Origin Enhancements

I personally would like to see some like this implemented. It would be a decided improvement!

What?

Gotta say that that is a great idea, McBoo.

This is supremely awesome and I think it deserves to be seen by anyone who clicks this thread.
Go ahead, but note my last edit about Defense/Resist enhancements.

Your edit is bolded and I repeated it again afterwards, so it should be impossible for people to miss.

Again, awesome job, Neo Shadowdream!

Yaaaaaay! I have installed it! Thank you!

Also: am I correct in thinking that essentially what you did was change the "pogs", and then erase the "icons"?

It doesn't seem all that intrusive. And if one wished to fix the sets I would assume simplely replacing some of the transparent area of the smaller icons with the "pog" color would work.

I have a PM to War Witch about the Resist "Pog" Icon in game. but until then I have made a composite of the Def/Res icons

What do you guys think? Should I include it in the pack or leave it as is, and hope a fix is put through soon?

And hey, who knew that all HO/SHO's used the damage background under that Hami-O Icon!

I'd put it in, that way there's a built in reminder to be careful about which you buy.

Personally, I would leave it as is. All of the b/gs are now pretty and easy to read... having one be a bit more complex is still a huge improvement over having 26 be somewhat annoying.

Also, if you do decide to do a hybrid symbol like that, may I suggest a gradient of colors? And perhaps a slightly different way to represent the inner symbol? It just does NOT look right next to the other b/gs.

Also, you may want to post your installer and a short description in a thread of its own, I am sure there are at least a few folks who would like to make use of such a thing who maybe wouldn't find it here.

What did you have in mind Thirty-Seven? I've seen some good input from you in Corva's thread, so I'd like to see what you got here!

And yeah I've been meaning to post a thread of my own, just lazy, and sick.

Honestly, I'm not really sure. I just really am not a fan of the "cut two icons in half and paste them together method" I will have to think on that, but as for the blend, I thought something diagonal using those two colors would look nice.

Something like this perhaps? Maybe it is a bit too busy. Maybe it would look better if the DmgRes layer was on top... too bad I didn't save that.

Just tossing the idea out there, and get well soon!

You know my wife, just gave me a great idea, and I'm gonna see if I can pull it off, I'll edit this post soon with the results I hope!

[Edit]Well, it didn't do what I had wanted, and I should have known, though now TO, and IOs show the right background..... which would just add to confusion when SO/DOs don't.... sigh[/edit]

Though I did come up with this:

If it helps This will fix the def res problem for TOs and generic IOs.

<---Neo's wife! LOL!

Anyways.... I was originally trying to find a way for him to use the light blue background for the Resistance enhancements. If you look through the game files, that light blue was, if I'm not mistaken, the original color chose to be the Resistance color. It could be possible that somebody made a mistake or something and it ended up being tied to the Defense enhancement color instead.

Yeah kind of figured it would be best used with what ever work around you came up with for the Defense Pog.

I got the set IO icons done to be compatible with Neo Shadowdream's pack if anyone wants them. Note I did the Resist sets with the light blue green pog. For comparison to my last pic:

By the way I like your newest version of the Def-Res pog Neo.

So I think I figured out why the background circles on the Enhancements are called "pogs"...
