Mutant Costume Change Emotes Not Working Correctly
Are you certain that is the right name? Sometimes the emote name isn't what we think it is or should be.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Okay, found a post about this on the Training Room section of the forums in the Emotes: Bug Reports thread. Seems there are several powers that keep this from playing and they look to be mostly defensive toggles.

the same thing is happening to me but with th Energy Morp emote,
i used this bind /bind LSHIFT "cce 0 ccEnergyMorph"
with all toggels off
and all it does is keep me in the same costume but trips the little 30 sec timer thing.
Energy Morph's cce prompt isn't ccenergymorph. I have yet to figure out what the actual command is.

Light of the Phoenix - lvl 50 Fire/Emp Controller; Snow Panther - lvl 50 Cold/Ice Defender; Dragonfly. - lvl 50 Willpower/Fire Tanker; Magic Minx - lvl 50 Ill/Rad Controller; Dust Walker - lvl 50 Storm/Dark (Sand) Defender; And more...
They have in the past (usually BAB) but I haven't seen a Dev or OCR post on it this time. Likely due to them being busy with GR Beta.
Perhaps if someone were to PM theOcho he could pass along a request that these be posted, even if it's only a "OK Ocho, here's the list, you post it" thing.
It's better if someone else tackles that than me.

I can also confirm this doesn't work. Older costume change emotes are macroable but macroing or even just typing /cce 0 ccenergymorph (I've tried with all three new emotes) in the chat box do nothing but give me the 30 second costume change lockout timer without me actually changing costumes.
They work great when using the costume change window and selecting the emotes from the drop down list.

BTW if you make a costume bind and put gibberish or anything for that matter in place of the emote name it will still trip the timer. So we most likely dont have the right name for energymorph.

and as others have reported, having the defensive toggle issue with rapidboil and dimensionshift
was wondering if this is what was going on for me. would love to know what energy morph's prompt is then.

Cue headdesk. Very hard.
I verified this by manually typing in the costume change command, so I know it's correct.
The prompt for the Energy Morph costume change emote is ...
ccPodPerson.
Go figure.

I demorecorded myself using the energy morph costume emote from the costume selection window, then fired up my text editor and looked through the recorded file.

I really wish they wouldn't do that. I love the game of course. And only post when I complain (human nature). So now that's two NinjaJump = NinjaLeap. PodPerson = EnergyMorph. They have to know that those of us that key bind costume changes would want to be able to just type it in, yet they do that anyway. It can't be a mistake. It's like a poke in the eye of those of us that buy everything they put out. I don't understand the rationale. Maybe they think forcing us to search the forums is a fun adventure.
Gimmie more booster packs so I can give you more money. And quit being silly please.

For those that have difficulty with the keybinds.. this is what I use... maybe it'll help someone else:
Costume Change Keybinds
Format:
/bind <key> "emote none$$cce <Slot (0-4)> ccEmote"
For example, I use my numberpad for costume emotes:
/bind numpad1 "emote none$$cce 0 ccEvilLaugh"
/bind numpad2 "emote none$$cce 1 ccPodPerson"
/bind numpad3 "emote none$$cce 2 ccDimensionShift"
/bind numpad4 "emote none$$cce 3 ccSmokeBomb"
/bind numpad5 "emote none$$cce 4 ccLightning"
The emote none$$ portion makes sure you are out of any current animation before starting the change emote.
Current CCE's
Salute
EvilLaugh
Howl
BackFlip
RapidBoil
PodPerson (Energy Morph changer)
DimensionShift
NinjaLeap
SmokeBomb
SuperSerum
DrinkFormula
Cast
Spin
Lightning
PrestoChango
Hope that helps...

For feck's sake... Devs, can we stop doing this, please?
If it's not completely intentional, I'm guessing that "podperson" was what it was called in development, and there was lack of, or mis, communication, and whomever entered the command into the database wasn't aware of the namechange...
Can we at least get an alias on this one? As it stands, it's not even close.
And can we please get these three to work with toggles active like every other costume change emote that came before them...

I posted in the feedback thread twice that cce # CCEnergyMorph was not working. Do the Devs responsible for these things read the feedback threads anymore? Do QA or Production? Do the Mods who are supposed to bring these things to the Devs read official Feedback threads anymore?
Yeah, I know they're busy, but don't start a feedback thread if it's not going to be read. Our lives are busy, too.
And if the anger expressed here seems out of proportion to the situation, it's because this is just the tip of the iceberg. I'm sure the Devs know my rant by heart on how their Patch Notes process is broken. Great way to take a valuable resource (player testing and input) and let it go to waste.
Sheesh.
They Devs *can* and *should* give us aliases for these two emote names so that cce # CCNinjaLeap and cce # CCEnergyMorph do work.

awesome work sorting out the podperson thing. for some reason it brings back memories of that last scene in the 70's version of Invasion of the Body Snatchers and that awful sound. oh the sound!
makes me wonder if this is a vestigial name. if they were actually working on a pod out of which our freaky-deakies could hatch. would have been an awesome CC emote if they were able to get that to work...
This is a good find that should probably be edited by the devs, just for sanity's sake...
That said, I imagine people saying it's a vestigial command are right, based on this bit from the latest dev interview:

I have already bugged this in game as well. When I bind these to a key, they do not work correctly. Just to check myself, I used the exact same bind with one of the olders ones and it works fine. I can use the new ones from the costume change screen and they work correctly, just not when I bind them.
One of the binds I'm using is:
/bind l cce 1 ccDimensionShift
When I change the 'DimensionShift' to lightning, it works.
I have tried all three emotes and none work as they should.
Anyone else having this issue?
