Yeah, less than 10 seconds ago it was posted, and I decided to distract myself looking at some other stuff. Refreshed twitter, saw the code image still there, inputted it and gone. Wow. Desperate times make for desperate people - while others I suspect just want some form of glory in claiming stuff like this. Oh well. 1 more try and I guess I'll let the last 2 codes pass - this has definitely taken away from any game time I would've had today. -shrugs- I dunno, maybe I'll keep going for the last 2 codes...-sigh-

Bah they should just push out 9 and 10 then say "due to the high demand and requests, we've decided to release the Mutant Pack early! Thank you City of Heroes users for your support!" and put it up on the store.
They should give the code to everyone that has posted in these threads, too - with exclusive for free codes. That'll never happen though.

I really hate Facebook for these type of "fastest one wins" contests... there are times where I refresh the page and actually GO BACKWARDS in terms of posts; the most recent ones disappear even though they were just there, and a couple refreshes later they FINALLY reappear!

Yep its all over but the crying. Forecast is calling for extended tears until Monday.
I think the people trying to run this are having more frustration than we are trying to get our hands on the codes..
Probably underlining what to not do next time..
*For Future Contests*
A. Make Several threads if not updates on Facebook and Twitter.
B. Randomly pick names from one of these three or with these three, and put it in a hat, box, gerbil, whatever.
C. Pick a random name that was picked and placed into the hat,box,gerbil,whatever.
D. PM this winner and announce it so everybody can assume that there were no cheating or Super-Nerds ruining the fun/contest.
Or maybe they like E. Paragon Studios are really sadistic-[censored]'s and like watching their players do nothing more than frantically refreshing pages, and hope their fingery digits are faster than somebody else, only to see that the codes been used, then NERD-RAGE back on the forums. (I'm kinda finding this an amusing as well)
This isn't really about the contest, it's about exposure. They want people to see them get so much activity on Facebook and Twitter to raise more interest in the game before GR comes out.
