This is bizarre... First time I've seen it.

So, I'm wandering through Nerva on one of my stalkers and for grins I decide
to run a paper mission while I'm there...

So, I select one (Defeat Officer Nader and Guards), and off I go...

Where does the Nav pipper lead me?

To the AE Building.

The mission "entrance" is the AE portal beam (that you use for AE missions)

Remember, I'm not running an AE mission - I'm running a newspaper mission...

So, I'm wondering if this is normal and other folks are getting sent to AE
for normal missions or if this is just RNG weirding out?

PS> I'm not getting tickets or anything - it's behaving like a normal mission should,
except that it's occurring in the AE building...

It's not been uncommon for missions to point to AE before, as they would be pointing to a door or location that was there before the AE building was placed.

Just /bug the mission and contact and hopefully the mish door will be set to a proper coordinate.

Seems to be doing this a bit recent-ish-ly... had this happen in peregrine within the last week or so.

Wasn't a mission (TF? story arc?) broken a while back with it always pointing to a AE door which only let you in the building? I do recall having this problem and reading about it here a few issues back

This seems to happen mostly in Nerva, too.

I remember a Heist mission taking me to the AE. Not even online-banking is safe anymore.

I have noticed this in brickstown as well. It's been happening there for at least the last 2 issues.

sounds like the OP could access the mission however.

We couldn't, the indicator was inside the AE building itself, clicking on a door didn't lead to the mission. (Although, I don't think any of us thought to click on the AE beam.)

Yep, I ran the mission as I posted last night...

Ran fine, bumped the broker "credit" up properly, and all was generally well.

In fact, I didn't /bug it, along the lines of what je saist said - it IS a valid
door, and the mission worked as normal, so I wasn't 100% sure if it was a bug
or not.

It felt awful weird though...

Glad to know other folks have run into the situation and have /bugged it, so I
presume they know about it now and whether it's WAI or not is their call.

Thanks for the responses folks!

The AE beam is probably where you should have clicked. When this happened to me (and also in previous instances I've seen reported on these boards) the AE beam replaced the normal mission door for the mission.

This has been happening since right after AE went live, so it's an old bug that has just never gone away.

Always bug it - that is only supposed to be a valid door for AE.

I once had a mission where the waypoint lead to a plant on the first floor by the entrance inside the AE building. No doors inside the building took me to the mission, not even the AE data-stream. Neither did the plant.

There I was between a rock and a hard place. Then I thought, "What am I doing on this side of the rock?"
