Patch notes for build 1800.201006040036.3T

COMBINED

Mutant Pack Updates

  • Fixed some issues with the new Mutant Pack, and added a few more goodies.
    • Added Organic Swords (Dual Blades and Broadsword).
    • Added Organic, Bioluminescence, and Wolf tails.
    • Secondary Mutation: Acute Senses perception buff now working correctly
    • Secondary Mutation: Acute Senses defense buff reduced.
    • Secondary Mutation: Quick Reflexes recharge buff now working correctly
    • Secondary Mutation: Tough Hide defense buff reduced.
    • Secondary Mutation: Looping animations are now fixed.
Tasks
  • Ouroboros – Fixed a bug in Flashback missions that caused Badges to be awarded only to the mission owner.
Tailor
  • Put back the Warrior lower body option from the Martial Arts pack, which had temporarily gone missing.
Global Email
  • Increased the time before stored emails are deleted from 30 days to 60 days. There is now a column after the date that indicates how much longer an email will be stored.

Arenas
  • Fixed a bug that prevented players from issuing commands to Gladiators.

Options
  • Fixed sound FX not playing properly when in flight and on Female and Huge models for various Costume Changes associated with the Mutant Pack.

CITY OF HEROES
  • None

CITY OF VILLAINS

Powers

General
  • Arachnos Heavy Blasters will no longer immediately run out of endurance.

So no new swords for ninja blade/katana huh? Sigh. You guys need to remember us the next time you make swords for these booster packs.

Inmust agree that the email time increase is very nice. Will admit the poor ninjas do not get much in custom weaponry when things come around.

Still broken:

Tailor -

  • All Shields that can take a secondary pattern are still unable to do so.
  • Huge body types are still missing the Warrior and Tai gloves.

Seriously: whiskey, tango, foxtrot?!

And to think that my thought when i saw the picture David posted of the missing sword was, "Hey, it looks like the grip on that is longer than usual so that Katana/NB wielders can use the new swords as well."

Still buying the pack, but, considering that i would think at this point the art/design Devs would be well aware of the Katana/NB sets in the game (and the comparative paucity of sword options for them), i have to admit that i'm a bit nonplussed that they're increasing the disparity.

Not that my cursed-blade-wielding-drunken-cyborg-buccaneer Katana/Invuln Scrapper needs anything but the Chinese and Rularuu blades, but my someday-to-be-made heroic Praetorian NB/Ninutsu Stalker would like more options.

I'm still not seeing 'Secondary Mutation' in the power slots so I don't know where you can find or access this power..

On the power tray. click Power, it shouild be listed in the inherent group You can then either click it, ot Click and drag to tray.

Excellent! The email improvement is surprising at short notice.

The defense numbers are now 2.5 and 3.5, respectively.

The power is still rather strong for a booster. I think what might work would be adding more buffs so that, like mystic, there are so many that a few strong buffs are not that overpowered.

There is an approximately 60% chance of getting a very strong effect:

1. 30% recharge
2. Endurance discount and regen
3. Defense (which type you want more would be determined by build)

For example, what if pain tolerance were converted into 2 powers, 1 for endurance and another for mez resistance and regen?

Add a few more, like a 5% resistance, or a small power boost style effect, and you would make it work with a greater variety of powersets (resistance armors, buffers), while also preventing it from becoming a predictably large buff to defense builds.


A game is not supposed to be some kind of... place where people enjoy themselves!

Man, Katana and Ninja Blade get cut out again? (no pun intended). Seriously, why is it that Katana/NB always seem to get shafted up the rear hard on sword designs?

I have to reiterate this here:

Why Broadswords and Dual Blades but no Claws? If there was any Power set that I associate with "Mutant" it would be Claws.

I'm fine if you guys can't release it right away, I can be patient. However I think you guys are really missing a great opportunity by not putting Claws in.

Again, if you already have something in the pipe that's cool, if you can't make it work due to technical issues that's fine.

I tested this. Mail sent to local (server) characters do not have an expiry date, as expected. Messages sent to global names have an X days remaining message in the new Expires column. One odd thing is a message sent shows up as 60 days remaining then after a few moments immediately switches to 59 days remaining. It may be because after a couple of seconds it's literally not 60 days any longer, but still looks a little weird.

Kudos for the time extension and the UI fix. There should be no issues with unexpectedly deleted mail anymore.
