Hello base community, recently I sent a PM to Noble Savage about some base art issues and actually got a reply. Keep an eye for an All Things Art: Bases thread. Realy excited about this as somethings have actually been add to game the game from his other threads. Just passing this news on to all of you.

I'm planning to host an All Things Art: Bases thread in the near future. Watch for that and post all of these suggestions there, if you don't mind. As with the other topics, I'd like to know exactly what you guys want before I make recommendations to the team as a whole.

Actually, there is already a thread for that very purpose... check my post above (#55) with the big green linky.

I'd rather get that thread going again (now that we can actually embed pics in our posts), and keep it bumped up... maybe even get it re-stickied.

If i could have just one thing for my base, it would be MORE STORAGE. Just a simple change of numbers to reflect the changes that have taken place after 19 issues.
They never upgraded the amount of worktables we could have after adding the invention tables, even a +1 here would do the trick. And after limiting the salvage racks to just 30 measly pieces they made no effort to increase the number of racks per base.
It seems ridiculous to me that a 24x28 base plot can only have the same amount of racks as a much much smaller plot. Either put the salvage rack capacity up to 99 or change the numbers on the bigger plots. I have a 24x28 plot with three huge workshops, I should be able to hold 30 storage racks.

all they have to do is change a number...how hard is that.

a more stable idear:

Tie all storage racks <that have given permissions> into -all- crafting tables, empowerment buff stations and such.


I wouldn't push for an increase in storage until the *sniff* "dev team" actually works on the 20k item count limit.

Also: personal crafted base items -should- go with you to a new sg when you transfer, after all, enh that you craft with the same salvage remain in your inventory...

Impossible, when there is no one tasked with making the change. Referring back to the thread title, all fruit is too high when none are willing to pick it... even when it lies rotting on the ground.

If I seem cynical about future base development, I am. If it appears that I've given up on it, I have. The only opportunity I foresee at this point... is to be pleasantly amazed.

i just had an interesting thought for this...what would it take for the devs to port in pieces of the environment? miniature Hamidon spires, pieces of the Web array like the ones we wreck in the STF, tombs and crypts and gravestones ala dark astoria, maybe grant SGs the old Item of Power items (minus the effects) as decorations (make the unlock requirements something like running the Shadow Shard TFs a certain number of times, or maybe running the cathedral of Pain.

Doubt this thread is even being read by the Devs to be brutally honest, but i'll add my suggestion. A simple suggestion really.

Give us casino furniture! The slot machines and poker tables, plus the npcs around them. Sound effects too of course. My Mafia themed SG would really like a casino as a front for their illicit activities.

Pretty please Devs? Otherwise, it's curtains for ya!

One of my pet peeves is not being able to put all my salvage racks in the same room. I know it's a functional issue, but would it be that hard to 'link' the workshops so that if I have 10 available racks available for the base, I could place them together in 1 salvage room?

Plain white walls. Just a blank, white, wall texture. The color sliders could be used to make whatever color we want but please, just give us walls that don't have any sort of pattern on them, we dont always want a pattern!

Would someone please enlighten the ignorant on what "Low Hanging Fruit" is? It sounds like it might be refering to the low man on the totem pole of things to be worked on ingame.

Christmas trees, like the small and large lit pines in the Ski Chalet zone.

Amen to bushes and shrubs without the massive planters.

And just about ANYTHING from Manticore's mansion. Those carpets, wallpaper patterns, curtains, windows, and swanky furniture are gorgeous.

Before making any suggestions I'd like to know the scope of what they can do.

What can they add given time/budget?

I'd also like to know if the business model has fed them well enough to get regular base love, or at least an occasional base update whichever is feasible.
