Hamidon Raids

Howdy!

I was browsing around in attempt to answer this question to no avail - So does Liberty have scheduled Hami raids (red or blue), if so when? If not, would anyone be down for this?

http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=210461 was the last thread on hami in this forums... the only ingame comments I've seen have been that we don't have enough people to run Hami....

I'd be willing to give it a try on my scrapper tho.

No sense in running a Hami now since he is broken. (Unbeatable green mitos) But there seemed to be more than passing interest in a Hami run and I'm working on a tanker here to help out. (Only need a few more levels to enter the hive.)

Ah well the fix for hami is on test -- But I was just curious in general because it something I was looking to do -- Yes all we have to do is muster the people and it would be show time

Okay, I was thinking about doing a Hamidon Raid, soon.


Last time Liberty did and succeeded a hami raid was in 2005? I think.

From what the devs have said, the green mitos are only brokes on LGTF. The regular Hami should be fine.

Having never done one of these vaunted Hami raids, I'd be more than willing to lend my services, and those of my trusty fire pimps, to the fracas.

As pointed out there are several threads about Hami raids if there is an interest etc...
I don't know if he's broken, I do know the Hive Zone caps at 50 not at 100 like it used to and it became a bit more ( Farming EOE's) then simply show up at cowards rock and running it.

Maybe it wouldn't be as bad now with the possible grifing and possible spot hijacking as much since time has passed. It is probably time that we (Liberty) really discuss forming up Hami teams and determine what day we would like to run the event.

There are a couple Hami guides posted and if we really want to start it begins with EOE farming and GM clearing to spawn him.

I am certainly in. I have 1 lvl fifty scapper and I am really playing my DP blaster with an eye to making him my next fifty.

I, and The Sisterhood, are more than ready to have Hami Raids return to Liberty. The lst time this was brought up, a few months ago, it just sort of died on the vine. Not so, this time.

We have some experienced Raiders right here on Liberty, we have some guests from other servers over to help us and we have more than enough interest. February 6, 2005 was our 1st successful Hamidon Raid. We raided for years after that. We just kind of shrugged our shoulders and walked away from The Hive when the zone caps went into place.

Let's set a target date. Is Memorial weekend too close? Do too many people have holiday plans that don't include Goo? Let's get serious about this. I will step up and take the Coordinator's role if no one else is willing.

It's time, Liberty.

Give me a time frame that is a couple of weeks out and not late in the day on Sunday and I would be happy to join it.

Only day/afternoon I have free is Saturdays; unless there are enough people to do during the noon-2pm EST time frame Mon-Fri

I have a BBQ that Sunday but if it was early I could probably do it. Otherwise Saturday could work as well as a weeknight after 7:00 pm CST

Looks like Sunday or Saturday, and the closest weekend that seems feasible is May 22-23. Which is just 1.5ish weeks away, but of course there is always chances after Mem.DayW.

Choosing the time slot looks interesting...

June 13th, its a Sunday. Good amount of time...

I was looking to getting raiding going again on liberty, then interest died down, got more interested, then i17 came out. Hopefully raiding actually happens this go around

I think seriously that Hazy and GEL should take point on this. I would suggest any June date except Fathers day. I will be unavailable for Memorial Day weekend. Remember that EOE farming maybe required.

Thanks Pete. The GM griefing wasn't cool but unless time perfectly rarly was anything more than annoying. Now Leaching I just didn't like and thats was susposed to be taken care of via the lower zone cap, which I never liked that solution.

Its good to know that simple spawn clearing will generate enough EOE's to basicly complete the raid. I Strongly dislike farming of every type. Nuff said on that count. My role as a Hami Raid leader / Hami taunt tank has completely changed from everything I've read.

Simply put if farming of the EOE's isn't required it is just a matter of selecting a date once we have a patch for Hami live for the Mitos problem and we clear zone gather at the rock and have some Jello shooters like the old days. Plus some of our new pup's can earn some badges.
