It's gotta be about furries - it's hard to see what other costume parts in a mutant themed pack could cause any problems.

We talking the live girl or something composed of concept art? Cos the lass that plays her is gorgeous and, yes, her costume seems to get shorter every time I see her, but Ms Liberty the character has the sex appeal of a sack.

That would make sense with the near release of animated tails. Could way to get some new ones out.

If your mouse has greater processing power than your gfx card, the answer is yes.

I don't think the mutant booster pack is a special furry themed one - but if it includes any animal parts, then it can be used to make furry avatars - which is totally ok

Ghost Widow for Paragon Studios pin-up girl, Thanks.

Ms. liberty is a push-over.

P.s. Black pebble, I can not pM you but I have a bit of a request:

Can you please STOP directing people to Twitter and Facebook? Social networking sites should be used to direct people TO the Cityofheroes website; please stop directing people AWAY from the website.

Please post the upcoming Q&A information here on the website and any other information pertaining to Cityofheroes/CityofVillains.

I think the character's fine - but a poster is more likely to be a visual thing rather than a personality thing

The poroblem is that the game is called "City of Heroes", so making the "pin-up" person be a Villain would be kinda weird - that's why Statesman is used way more the Recluse in promoting the game.

Ms. Liberty just seems like the obvious choice for a female hero to represent the game.

Going Rogue is the next box. Desdemona is a villain going to hero. Use her.

I like the fact that it is opt-in (NOT opt-out), so people who don't want to see the ads aren't bothered. That being said I feel like many people here: Anything that gives CoX more money makes me happy, so I opted in. Once I opted in I saw plenty of the same (non)ads that had always been in the game. I saw one actual ad on a billboard half-buried in the ground in Eden.

While I don't want to see ads for Viagra or diapers, I'm totally fine with mainstream products (soft drinks, snacks), computer products/websites, and anything that pertains to the game. And I'd be more inclined to buy products who spent their advertising dollars in City, because then I'd know I was helping to support the game.

I'm not sure about copyright issues using that format (I would guess Apple would probably be pretty .. uh.. controllery on that issue) but a short, awesome TV commercial could do wonders. But that's the tricky part, it really has to be awesome to be worth the money. People who have never played the game have to look at it and say "... Wow. THAT is COOL." I think we have prettier graphics than WoW (especially now with Ultra Mode), and character customization is HUGE, so those could be good starting points. The character creator is what got *me* sucked in the game on my friend's account back in May 04, twelve days later I was at the store buying my own box. City is definitely a game for people who like to customize.

Like I said above, a TV commercial would have to be MADE OF AWESOME. However, ads in comic books or, as someone pointed out, before comic-book movies would be VERY effective.

I agree that CoX needs more advertising to get more players to play this game. I love it. I talk to a lot of people & suggest this game to them & most of them have never even heard of it. And the only reason I started playing was because of an old coworker. Back in 2004 we were having a discussion of video games while working & he started talking about his controller in some superhero game. And since I was a big fan of comics & superheroes, I decided to try it & the rest was history.

More people need to know of this game from other than word-of-mouth. I do think that more advertising should be done. I know a lot of people at work talked about the WoW TV ads. But I don't believe for a second that Mr T & Ozzy Osborne play WoW. If you were to do a TV ad, I would try to find a celebrity who actually plays it. I know TV ads can be expensive, but they do pay off.

Comic adverting is perfect for this game. Its like someone said earlier: "You like superheroes & supervillains? Come play CoX where you can actually MAKE & PLAY them." Along with that, why not advertise on comic websites? I know Marvel & DC are getting their own MMOs soon & they will be the competition, but why not try to get some ads on their sites? There's also a site I watch regularly called superherohype.com. Mostly gives news about superhero movies coming soon. Put a few ads there.

I would love to be able to buy CoH loot. Since I just happen to be Joe Bob Stranger in Iowa (I'm really in Iowa) I don't have the money or time to go to any of the cons. But I would love to have some of the CoH goodies I've been hearing about.

All the ones I've met so far in the game have been normal polite, helpful people - they just seem to get way more of a bad rep for the weirder and extreme section of their community than other communities get for theirs.

Tell that to the PvPers and pro-market people.

While I understand the idea of telling the player-base that these venues exist (so they can be "friended" and therefore gain more visibility), I very much agree with the sentiment above. Please don't release things on twitter and facebook that I can't find here - I don't have an account on either facebook or twitter and I don't want to. I know I'm missing out on the latest gossip from the Devs, and that really makes me sad, but I am not going to sign up for every social networking site that springs into existence just so I can stay updated on this game. I expect the info to be HERE.

Agreed! Here first! We keep the lights on around here!

I agree with you Golden. Furries are alright it's just rep. I have a few furry characters and I don't do anything with them you can't do with a minor.

Now the characters with Leather straps and chains... Just kidding! There are far worst things then Furries!
