Sounds like an intriguing concept depending on what kind of playtimes it is, I would be interested in this. I'm not too experienced with RP yet, but willing to jump in. What kind of theme are you thinking of, or would this be more of a group decision? Also, what server?

As for a theme, I think it would focus around the elements as a whole with each individual of the eight having their own unique element. As for the server that is obviously up for debate, although Virtue is always a good standby for roleplaying, but I am open for any suggestions for another. The times will need to be worked out when there is enough interest.
I could join in on this if it was a weekend thing also I think it should be held on guardian cuz that place is dying

Well then. I'm available typically anytime after midnight EST, except on thursdays and saturdays. Fridays I'm available after about 8pm EST. So if that works for anyone else, count me in.

I'd be willing to try it out, lord knows I have too much time on my hands. I'm available at any time around noon central time, save thursdays, and I have universal access on the weekends.
Anybody who knows me well enough will know that I prefer villains, but with i17 looming, the distinction is becoming...blurry, no?
No real need to decide on elements, trying to gauge interest and get a group of eight together before we worry about that. As far as your questions, Garjzla, EST is 2 hours ahead of Mountain time.
The actual elements don't have to be so literal like Fire Blast and Fire Control, most things will be workable with a bit of creativity and customization. It is hardly limited to the traditonal ones you see, but once again, we can worry about that when we have a full set of people ready to work things out.

Hm, this certainly looks interesting. Will have to depend on the desired play times to see when I could make it, but the idea has something going for it.
Also, if we do end up doing this virtue heroside, I have a turn-of-the-century undead failure of a necromancer whose accidental fusion with a Nictus fragment allows him to channel void energy there.

I'm curious how this will all play out. Is it just the 1st 8 people to organize make the group? Is it a supergroup? If we can organize a decent fleet, will the teams only consist of one of each element? Is it possible to mix elements?
It sounds interesting, I've got room on all servers save Liberty and Protector, blue or red is cool with me and I could play anytime...except when I can't...*but* I'd like to know more about the grouping itself and how it works. I commit to nothing yet >_>
I'm in, though I'm going to say I'd really rather keep it on the Virtue server, tons of RP goodness there.

As for the nature of the team, I was thinking it would be one of each element since teams consist of eight. Having one element as a theme for an entire team, while it would be neat, seems a lot harder to do, as roleplayers are hard enough to find and getting them all to agree and be happy with characters is even harder.
I wasn't going for the first seven that responded, but rather will look at what everyone is planning on making, their availability and see what works out best. For me it's most important that everyone has fun and is able to share in an experience that is more than just running missions, but developing the personalities and dynamics of the eight individuals into something more.
It might end up being a Supergroup, but only for those eight people, I just haven't decided. It isn't meant to be this exclusive group that only the select can join, I just don't want to over-recruit and then have to get people to sit out, which is no fun for anyone. As for mixing elements I wasn't planning on that, although it's certainly alright if you have, excuse the term, elements of other elements, it's just what your primary power source or whatever is based upon.
I'm leaning towards Virtue only because I think it might be the most receptive to something like this and so far no one seems to have strong opinions on another place. As for Hero over Villain, it seems a few people prefer Heroes, the rest don't seem to mind either way.

Well, anyone interested post your availability / desired time of play (including timezone please) so I can begin to figure things out. As well as how long or how often you would be interested in this. I am not creating this under the impression that it will last a few weeks and fall apart, it would great if it was a longterm project and all of us got to know one another well and have very great (or perhaps not so great character interactions if we wanted to build tension) relationships with the group.

Im from Ohio, so im Eastern Standard time zone here. Im a college student, so im up alot, and do have a good amount of time for the game.
Most of my CoX time is later in the day, such as 6pm-2/3 am, longer periods on weekends.
Hopefully this is an acceptable time alotment.

Greetings fellow roleplaying Heroes and Villains.
Reflection here and I've been toying with idea for quite some time about a static group, but as something more than just a random assortment of people that just smash the opposition. Certainly that will be involved, but I'm hoping for something more, creating a dynamic and interesting group as well as an immersion into a different facet of roleplaying than I've personally been part of. The idea of the elements is hardly a new one, but thanks to the wonderful power customization, I feel that this will blend in seamlessly with anyone's wishes for archetype or powerset, although a few obviously are a bit trickier than others.
What I am looking for is interest in participating in a group that would not only be focused on missions as well as task forces, but also looking for roleplaying with one another and exploring the nature of their own element, possibly drawing personality traits from it, viewpoints, whatever you deem necessary. I have no idea what sort of interest this will generate, if any at all, but I appreciate you taking the time to look it over. If you do find yourself wanting to participate, please feel free to contact me in game (@Reflection) or leave a response here. I'd love to know if people would prefer Heroes or Villains, so that can be worked out as well.
