  1. Hey all!

I apologize immensely for the extreme lack of my involvement, a lot of stuff happened in the real world, startling I know, and this unfortunately fell to a very low priority. I am very glad to see things continuing on even in my absence, it looks like my presence really isn't needed at all and I'm happy that things did not take a terrible turn.

I will try to have some involvement, but for now I feel like I might not be able to devote as much time as I would like to it, I really had a lot of ideas and ways to make it fun, a few customized missions and the like once I'd gotten people's backgrounds, but I suppose that will have to wait. Thank you all for everything, I'll try to keep in touch.

  2. Here are the people interested thus far and their elemental power preferences. This is by no means an indication of how things will end up and I'll leave this thread open to new interest until tomorrow evening, by then anyone wanting to join in can leave their handle and three (or more if you wish) choices of their element. After that I'll work on narrowing the group down to eight based on availability and what concepts everyone has come up with, just clarifying this is more a focused roleplay team than a leveling group, so no one is surprised when we start. It's about the story and the growth of the characters, if that isn't something that interests you, this might not be the place for you.

Random Thing - Will probably be doing this sort of thing and perhaps even compiling a website with our various adventures and stories as well as a place for everyone to add their own things if it gets to that point. There is no hero by this name, just a random person I made up based on a random picture I found... never fear!

  3. Once the eight of us are locked in we'll start seeing which are the more popular choices and go from there.
  4. So far it looks like Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are more available for people, possibly starting around 9 EST, although no one seems to have an issue for weekdays except Tuesdays for Premonitions and Garjzla going later Monday - Thursday. For the people that have replied, and those who haven't, are the weekend three days really the best time? Just feeling it out so we can nail down a time (or times) that works for everyone and get things rolling on the roleplay and planning end of things.

    That is all for now.
  5. Well, anyone interested post your availability / desired time of play (including timezone please) so I can begin to figure things out. As well as how long or how often you would be interested in this. I am not creating this under the impression that it will last a few weeks and fall apart, it would great if it was a longterm project and all of us got to know one another well and have very great (or perhaps not so great character interactions if we wanted to build tension) relationships with the group.
  6. Wow, quite a lot of responses, thanks all!

As for the nature of the team, I was thinking it would be one of each element since teams consist of eight. Having one element as a theme for an entire team, while it would be neat, seems a lot harder to do, as roleplayers are hard enough to find and getting them all to agree and be happy with characters is even harder.

I wasn't going for the first seven that responded, but rather will look at what everyone is planning on making, their availability and see what works out best. For me it's most important that everyone has fun and is able to share in an experience that is more than just running missions, but developing the personalities and dynamics of the eight individuals into something more.

It might end up being a Supergroup, but only for those eight people, I just haven't decided. It isn't meant to be this exclusive group that only the select can join, I just don't want to over-recruit and then have to get people to sit out, which is no fun for anyone. As for mixing elements I wasn't planning on that, although it's certainly alright if you have, excuse the term, elements of other elements, it's just what your primary power source or whatever is based upon.

I'm leaning towards Virtue only because I think it might be the most receptive to something like this and so far no one seems to have strong opinions on another place. As for Hero over Villain, it seems a few people prefer Heroes, the rest don't seem to mind either way.
  7. No real need to decide on elements, trying to gauge interest and get a group of eight together before we worry about that. As far as your questions, Garjzla, EST is 2 hours ahead of Mountain time.

The actual elements don't have to be so literal like Fire Blast and Fire Control, most things will be workable with a bit of creativity and customization. It is hardly limited to the traditonal ones you see, but once again, we can worry about that when we have a full set of people ready to work things out.

  8. A US Server, Rebel, and yes, it would take place in game, although if people wanted to take things out of game into the forums for more roleplay opportunities that would be wonderful as well.
  9. Hey Bubba.

As for a theme, I think it would focus around the elements as a whole with each individual of the eight having their own unique element. As for the server that is obviously up for debate, although Virtue is always a good standby for roleplaying, but I am open for any suggestions for another. The times will need to be worked out when there is enough interest.

  10. Greetings fellow roleplaying Heroes and Villains.

Reflection here and I've been toying with idea for quite some time about a static group, but as something more than just a random assortment of people that just smash the opposition. Certainly that will be involved, but I'm hoping for something more, creating a dynamic and interesting group as well as an immersion into a different facet of roleplaying than I've personally been part of. The idea of the elements is hardly a new one, but thanks to the wonderful power customization, I feel that this will blend in seamlessly with anyone's wishes for archetype or powerset, although a few obviously are a bit trickier than others.

What I am looking for is interest in participating in a group that would not only be focused on missions as well as task forces, but also looking for roleplaying with one another and exploring the nature of their own element, possibly drawing personality traits from it, viewpoints, whatever you deem necessary. I have no idea what sort of interest this will generate, if any at all, but I appreciate you taking the time to look it over. If you do find yourself wanting to participate, please feel free to contact me in game (@Reflection) or leave a response here. I'd love to know if people would prefer Heroes or Villains, so that can be worked out as well.

Thanks again and long live the roleplaying in Paragon!
  11. Heya!

This looks great, been trying to get back in, but it's been hard to go it alone. What time tomorrow were you thinking? I unfortunately am working during the day, but... maybe you were thinking night anyway? Cheers!
