Update on my toon.

I got the basic idea down. Start poking around the costume then got roped into some random Troll is TROLL stuff so put it aside. So now I'm at work and can hammer it out a bit more.

Camping "Mu Outcast" while I figure out a costume. (as a side yes I know Charlemagne is a guys name)

Charlemagne Keraunos was born as part of a energetics program in the Rouge Isles. Her mother and father both were high pure blooded members of the Mu bloodline. With the help of fertility drugs and all manner of mystical assistance Charlemagne was ushered into the world as a complete failure. She even started out as a still birth that the doctors spent hours to breath back to life. Her childhood was harsh in the Isles as she spent all her time being watched, trained, and molded into what she was born for, to be one of the greatest Mu adepts. But in this to she failed never developing the ability to harness her bloodlines powers. She was deemed a complete failure when she turned thirteen. So like many other failed projects in the Isles she was resigned to fill in one of the many support roles. In her case it was to be trained as one of the many researchers.

For a time Charlemagne started to enjoy her lot in life. The private training center was more pleasant then the harsh training of her Mu teachers. She also showed to have a knack science quickly gaining awards in the field of genetics. But her failure to her bloodline always haunted her. She would never be more then a cog in a greater machine. Once trained and assigned to a lab she spent years working away and slowly becoming used to the life of a researcher. It was early 2005 when she stumbled onto what looked like a hidden set of research files on the labs computer network. They did not appear to be official or even ear marked by any of Recluse's agents. Digging around she found these were the work of a spy and of all things he could be trying to get it seemed he was studying the Mu bloodline and energetics program. Deeply interested and not wanting to reveal him for fear his work would be locked way she started to shadow this unknown agent. He was trying to find a way to suppress the Mu bloodline powers in order to create some sort of anti-mu drug. And he was close but in all his paper work and research Charlemagne saw a glimmer of hope for her own lot in life. The drug he was working on had many failures one of these formulas seem to actually enhance the bloodlines power. She quickly started researching this on her own.

It would be a year before she isolated the part of the drug that was responsible for unlocking the bloodlines power. In theory it would only amplify the power slightly but it was a start. She started testing it at her lab hiding her work as other related work. She was making sure it would not have any deadly side effects before she tried it out. But her brake through was short lived. The unknown agent had go to far and had drew attention to himself and indirectly to Charlemagne. The lab was stormed and all the researchers rounded up and taken away. She quickly found herself in a holding cell with the rest of her coworkers awaiting to be questioned. She knew the data files reveled that she had known about the mole and not done anything she was as dead as he was. She started to figure out an escape plan she had on her one dose of her drug. She knew it was not deadly but she did not know what if any effect it would have on her. Also she did not know which of the people around her was the mole that would be her only ally it looked hopeless.

But then the building rocked from an explosion. Chaos erupted as guards rushed to deal with the attack. She looked around the cell everyone was scared except for Mark a fellow she had know since she started at the lab always quite and kept to himself. He was a lower lad tech but she knew then that he had to be the brilliant mind behind the files she found, he was the mole. A crab soldier came into the cell block he could only be here to make sure no one would escape. When he broke open the cell door and stood looming over them all she had no time to think. She quickly jabbed herself with her untested drug then grabbed Marks had.

"We have to run." She blurted out and rushed the guard.

She had no plan and had no idea if the drug would do anything but she had to try. When she hit the armored man it was like hitting a brick wall and bounced off landing on her back. He looked down and laughed while everyone on the cell looked on confused. But then the whole place exploded in red light as the world turned into a maelstrom of electricity. And her world went black. when Charlemagne woke it was to the sight of white and red suited people. She was strapped to something and the world around her was blurry. Someone spoke maybe it are one of them, maybe it was mark she could not tell be they told her.

"your safe now." And that was all she wanted right now to be safe.

She drifted off and dreamed of red storms. She would not reawaken for days and when she did it was at a Vanguard medical center in Paragon city.

She had unlocked something deep inside her and broken free of the fate she was originally allotted in life. Since then she has taken up the life of a hero so maybe she was not the failure her parents had thought she was. No she was just not on the right path was all and now she had something greater to live for.

Charlemagne taped into her bloodlines power via a chemical booster. This opened a connection to a primal fount of elemental electricity. While not truly Mu magic it was her bloodline's power that allowed the connection to be forged. Her origin is Science becuase of this.

I'll cook up a costume for Mu Outcast when I get home tonight but that is not going to be until sometime after 10pm EST.
