The Eight Elements - Superteam

So far it looks like Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are more available for people, possibly starting around 9 EST, although no one seems to have an issue for weekdays except Tuesdays for Premonitions and Garjzla going later Monday - Thursday. For the people that have replied, and those who haven't, are the weekend three days really the best time? Just feeling it out so we can nail down a time (or times) that works for everyone and get things rolling on the roleplay and planning end of things.

Is there going to be a way to determine who gets which element?

Once the eight of us are locked in we'll start seeing which are the more popular choices and go from there.

Okay, so, I just got my Idea for Fire.So I'm taking fire, Something melee oriented but FIRE IS MINE!

I have to wake up early weekdays (6am EST) so it's tough for me to stay up past midnight.

I'd be interested in Earth, Void or possibly Light. (in that order)

Void, Earth, or Water all spark my interest.

This is by no means an indication of how things will end up and I'll leave this thread open to new interest until tomorrow evening, by then anyone wanting to join in can leave their handle and three (or more if you wish) choices of their element. After that I'll work on narrowing the group down to eight based on availability and what concepts everyone has come up with, just clarifying this is more a focused roleplay team than a leveling group, so no one is surprised when we start. It's about the story and the growth of the characters, if that isn't something that interests you, this might not be the place for you.

Random Thing - Will probably be doing this sort of thing and perhaps even compiling a website with our various adventures and stories as well as a place for everyone to add their own things if it gets to that point. There is no hero by this name, just a random person I made up based on a random picture I found... never fear!

Having recently returned to CoX I'd be up for something like this and might be able to bring my SO along with me.

EST 10pm to 3am sun-Thursday or almost anytime Fri/Sat but prefer evenings.
Already have lots of characters on Virtue so might have an existing toon that would work.

Tend to like tanks but also enjoy dark/dark defenders should that be wanted/need but all things are open I'm a vary flexible RPer so would be willing to roll something to fill in what ever ends up the unwanted element.

I'm interested primarily in Void, Lightning and Light, in that order for what it's worth.

Imagine if you will, A fire/Fire Scrapper, magic origin.

So, you're talking to this boy, and, amongst heroes the topic comes up, as it always does
" How'd you get your powers"
He gives you a rueful grin and leans back
"Imagine, You're like me, just a regular kid in Paragon, yeah, I know, that's rare enough, right? So you're attacked by the Circle of Thorns on your way home from school, can't get much worse than that, huh? They're about to do the whole "Shang-Tsung" routine, when all of a sudden everything catches on fire and you black out. When you wake up, you're miles away, and everything around you is scorched all to hell"

The room gets a bit warmer, Leon Lawson shifts a bit in his seat. He takes a breath and continues.

"You just figure a hero had come along and whisked you away, happens all the time, right? So you thank whoever and run home as fast as you can."

You're sweating by now, why is it so hot in here?

"BUt, let's say it's not over, let's say, You start having dreams, Craazy dreams,something keeps, yelling at you, fire everywhere, you can't understand the words, but you know what they're saying."

He drops his head, and begins, not so much speaking, as somehow radiating a voice

"CONSUME! BURN! EVERYTHING!"

His head bounces up so fast it almost flies off his shoulders
" And, you, you start losing time, just, just blacking out, stuff like clothes and junk starts dissapearing, and your room always smells like fire, then one day, you see this picture online"

The heat turns up, it feels like a sauna in here, what's that light coming from this kid?

"And, I don't know, it triggers soemthing, the voice you'd ben hearing, starts talking clearly in your head, it talks about "The Path of Flame" and all kinds of craziness, so, now, you know what's going on, you're.. You're turning into this THING, but what REALYL sucks, once you figure out what's going on, it Starts, I don't know, Starts TALKING more, so now you've got to get a handle on it, but, see, the more you use it, the more it starts talking."

The light is almost blinding now, when it suddenly cuts off

" but that's not your, story, it's mine, heh"
and with a big smile, He gets up and Bounds away

Conceptually,

This is a kid living a double life as a superhero, He has a symbiotic relationship with a fire-Elemental Spirit, and It's beginnign to affect him

Soooo my Inspirations were numerous, But they include
This guy, Who, I've Honestly never seen in his source material, but doing a Random Digimon Forum RP elsewhere brought him up, but Damn if he dosen't look awesome

Both the Hulk, and Ultimate Green Goblin as well in terms of how I plan to represent his powers, (Big, strong, vaguely rampagey)

Yeah I like this team idea alot. My character's power is a mastery of ten elements (not like Ben Ten) so he'd have fitted in well. I'd actually love to join if I werent based on the EU servers. Nevertheless, let me share with you some interesting perspectives.

In a battle of the elements:

• Water/Light: Rational, relaxed and dependable. Can be emotionally sensitive.
• Fire/Electric: Energetic, pro-active, passionate and domineering. Sometimes self-destructive.
• Air/Spirit: Social, entertaining and light-hearted. Can also be arrogant and impulsive.
• Earth/Ice: Humble and grounded, thoughtful and creative, often perfectionist.

Just to throw this out there dont you think that people should throw out what AT they would like to play as well just to make sure we have a well balanced team it isn't nesessary but it might be helpful

Admitedly, powers go a long way toward making a person, and when anybody thinks of a certain element, a certain set of behaviors tend to spring to mind...

Well, you don't have to limit yourselves like that either guys, With power customization, we open doors for stuff, since you can color it as something else. And im guessing Magic is our chosen origin?

I agree on Virtue, it's my most played server, since its high with rp (thought not always good rp >_>)
