I think it's funny but, it largely depends on what it is.If it's cussing then yea sorta lame and immature.

But, if it's a funny quip or something original then that's cool.

You ppl do realize it is a game and it's supposed to be fun right?

Like someone already said apparently cut scenes are srs bznss....

Yeah, but when the new whiz-bang task force(s) in future issues are released, as I'm doing them for the first time, do you think people will shut up long enough for me to watch the new cutscenes in peace?

We've been saving Paragon City for eight and a half years. It's time to do it one more time.
(If you love this game as much as I do, please read that post.)

I think that's the whole point. Seeing someone spam the cutscene after the hundredth-plus time is no less old.

Okay, I spam cut scenes every now and again. Not an all-the-time thing.

I look at it thus.

Most cut scenes are roughly a minute.
I can't avoid them.
So I'm essentially just stuck.
If this happens while I'm in combat I'm doubly ticked off.
I'm (ostensibly) an adult (LIES! ALL LIES!).
If I want to make snarky comments during the scene, that's wasting my time and possibly getting me killed, to amuse myself I will.

If someone running the TF doesn't want that sort of stuff, they need to ask BEFOREHAND that it not happen. I'm usually willing to accommodate them.

If they want to female dog me out AFTER THE FACT, they get the same double-barreled digitus impudicus I give to the professionally offended thought police who cry and try to tell me what I can and cannot say when I tell a risque joke.

I got yelled at once in a movie theater for talking during a Pepsi pre-show-commercial.

True story.

I feel like this is what is happening here.

I've done that same thing many times, and it wasn't accidental. I was doing it to be cute. lol

I always felt that spamming wasn't meant to be original or even funny in any sense, but more ironic commentary on how inadequate and frustrating the cut scene system is in the first place.

If the cut scenes themselves were actually interesting, then I might get bothered at people interrupting them. As it is, I'd say to the OP that it's not like there's anything else interesting going on. Grab a drink while people are doing their spamming and call it a day.

And so everyone should stop because some are bothered? We're already forced to put up with cutscenes and have no control over them. It's the nature of the beast. I'm not about to force my views on everyone else (or buckle when someone else tries to force their's on me).

I honestly can't remember a cutscene task force recently where someone wasn't spamming the channels. It's like a hundred brat kids are telling you the same stupid knock-knock joke over and over and over. It's not cute. It's not funny. It's not clever. It's not original. Trust me, you are not the one gem of a cutscene spam comic in the midst of all of the spam dregs. And yes, I've seen entire spam conversations. And yes, I've seen people in cutscenes doing elaborately planned out "skits," complete with emotes and everything. If that's not impressive to me, trust me, you sure as hell aren't.

Personally, I'd love it if they completely silenced all team, broadcast, and local chat for however long the cutscenes last, it irritates me that much. I know they won't do it, because it falls into the realm of not really causing any harm, but it annoys me enough that I'd still like it nonetheless.

Cutscene spam was clever exactly one time.

/my humble opinion, I realize I'm probably in a minority.
When they give a majority of the team the ability to skip cutscenes then I can actually agree with your suggestion.

Perhaps they don't give a rats hindquarters what you think. Maybe they are just having fun and are doing it for their own enjoyment and not yours.

Can someone please dig up that screenshot of the exchange between Nemesis and Lady Gray with the Mastermind's zombies in the background making lewd Statler and Waldorfish quips?

Well I hate cut scenes and wish there was a way of turning them off.

As for the spam, I could carel less about it. I just want to turn the cut scenes off.

It's not that the scenes aren't interesting. But, if you've seen it for the umpty-bajillionth-and-third time...

Well, let's just say it doesn't have quite the same impact anymore.

I only wish they would fix Frostfire's cutscene back to how it originally was. It really loses any effect it may have had when his lackey doesn't get frozen in a block of ice like he used to. As far as cutscenes go, it was rather weak and simple (yeah simple), but that little exchange between Frosty and his goon at least made it amusing.

It's pretty annoying to have to scroll past 60 lines of spam to see what I missed from my global channels.

But they're mostly pretty short - like it takes just as long to zone and then travel to a mission door.
