Cut scene spam

The difference being that zoning and travel are, respectively, a technical limitation and an interactive segment of the game, while a cut scene is something the devs voluntarily chose to add which has no interactive element. Comparison is not valid.

The option for cutscenes is fine. Withholding the option to avoid cutscenes is not fine.

The joke is getting old but as long as no one ends up dead over it I don't mind it. I do sort of mind them spawning the things (any of them) while the team is in the middle of a battle like you described. JUST LOVELY.. I have a level 53 highly enraged EB Cyclops in my face and you are off trying to be witty? I STRESS trying! Now I did a Statesman TF a while back and before Arbiter Sands cut scene several team members actually asked if the leader minded them getting into position to appear in it and since it was not a MoSTF he said fine. It was fun watching them dance in the background while Sands was threatening us... moments later of course he was defeated and we moved on.

What's most of interest to me here is that some people just run TFs over and over, and therefore see the same cutscenes over and over, so that they feel the NEED to liven it up a bit. If it's that tiresome, why torture themselves so? This merit-hungry mentality amazes me.

I guess I'm lucky. I have never once had a cutscene during a group mission that elicited anything FROM the group at all. We just watched it. The one and only time I've run an ITF, on my designated badger, several of the group had done it all many times, yet none of them spammed or felt the need to play comedian.

If it ever happened, I suppose my reaction to it would depend on whether the would-be comic was actually funny, or just an idiot. Some people think typing "OZZY RULES!" a hundred times in a row in neon-green 80-point font is simply hysterical.

Some people enjoy the ITF. But the cut scene still gets VERY boring when you've seen it dozens of times, so that part is dull.

But it's only like 30 or 40 seconds long - that's not that long to have to wait

I hope you're not using your controller pets during the first three rounds of Rommie.

Edited: You know what? I'm cranky as hell right now. Shouldn't be posting at all. Ignore this.

Well since I've already run all the content in the game, what else am I supposed to do other than run stuff I've run before? The ITF is popular, so it's easy to get a team for, and it's fun except for lag hill, so it gets run a lot.

Aeon's scene in the STF is far worse. But since that's the only way to generate Hamis aside from the (for me) very laggy and unfun Hami raid, and it took me multiple tries to get the MoSTF badge, I had to sit through that multiple times too.

Because I like playing the game, not sitting and staring at the same cutscene I've seen for the 500+ time. It's not a hard concept to grasp, as Lemur Lad obviously seems to understand it being a more-or-less silly form of protest against having to sit and twiddle thumbs for a minute or two.

True story.

I feel like this is what is happening here.
I don't remember if it was Batman Begins or The Dark Knight but my brother ended up yelling at the screen because, as we clocked it, there were 55 minutes of pre-movie advertisements. Not the stuff on a constant cycle that the theater itself runs, advertisements on the actual reel for the movie. Got some weird looks but nobody shushed him.

Nobody seemed to have a problem when we kept making fun of Spiderman 3 to ourselves, though. Granted, I think that's because everyone was probably thinking it.

/irrelevant side note|Cool story, bro.

That kind of punches a hole in the "live and let live" argument, though, doesn't it?

I wasn't talking about the people who say "Hi mom!" once during a cutscene. Even though I have seen it before and am rarely amused by that type of thing, it doesn't bother me -- for basically the same reason everyone else stated: it's something to do during a boring bit of downtime.

But the title of this topic is "Cut scene spam". I was talking about the person who has to hit F7 a hundred times. Heck, they often haven't even changed the text from "Ready!"
