Going Rogue Effects On PvP
<QR>
The biggest changes (assuming zone imbalances aren't zone crushing if everyone goes blue/blueish) will be with alternate power pools for RV level toons, stalkers and veats on both sides and I'd say #3 is some goofy bug that will pop up in i18.
Infinity and Victory mostly

lolz PvP anymore, Market PvP for fun and profit
kk, so 500 base percep with /wp with heightened sense (+300), percep IO (+100) and tactics (+242.2) = 1142.2. This sort of stalker could see a VEAT (stealth capped) at about 290ft.

I can easily see this scenario playing out for myself...
Make new villain, play it to 50.
Time to IO the build... switch to blueside to avoid the sky high black market prices and because I already have a lot of spare junk and cash sitting around on blue.
Switch back to redside because... um, ah skip it the build is done and ready to play I'll just roll with it blue.
That's a good assessment SkeetSkeet. Perhaps the single biggest downside of GR. Let's hope it doesn't go that way, but it sure is looking like it. Everyone dressed up in blue, with nothing to do.
The best comics are still 10!

Super Reflexes: the Golden Fox of power sets!
WARNING: I bold names.
Brutes will be rather obsolete, as they supposedly take lots while dishing out some, and maybe take the aggro for a team, but tankers are better at that.
Corrupters will be rather obsolete as they supposedly do lots of damage quickly at range, but blasters are better at that.
Stalkers may still be played because they are different form scrappers, Dominators I dont know much about, and Masterminds are pretty useless anyway as players dont fall for the pets things like PvE enemies do.
Villain builds that rely on not having to fight villain archetypes will become rather useless as everybody and their dog will want to play them on the blue side to be different.
Red side in general will become pretty much obsolete too imo when you dont need to play the ugly underdeveloped red side to play the villain archetypes anymore:
But let's face it: with GR redside is probably emptying out anyway. The fun Archetypes are going to the side with more stuff and better market. *sigh* Zones will probably end up being 100 Heroes chasing 1 Villain. Fair and balanced.

On the other hand, I think its a great and right step to allow things like side switching and grey zones in between and hopefully some day choices to do good or evil things in a mission.
Its something a lot of players really wanted, I dont want to sound all negative about it.
Its good and a step in the right direction imo, despite the immediate ill-effects.

Do you PvP or PvE much?
Everything a tank can do a brute can basically do better except lolfossilze (and a scrapper if it is PvE, no SS for scrappers for rage in PvP yet, but they can PvP better than both)
Corrs are easily better than defenders on both sides of the game for a lot of stuff (but it can honestly vary, PvP a fender is better but barely, PvE it depends)

rad + 3 psi/ems = lolololuregin

No
No.
No.
No?
Cool!
Didn't the League take care of this "unfair advantage" by baning LR? XD
I'm going to enjoy farming blueside MMs and stalkers. |
Corruptor Rad is ghetto compaired to Defender Rad.
Basically there are two reasons to play a Def over a Corr right now:
1) Radiation/* - Defender EF is much much better then Corruptor EF.
2) Empathy/* - Pain is a great set dont get me wrong, however in teams Empathy is in a completely different league when compaired to Pain. This is mainly due to the fact that Empathy has its own self (Recovery Aura) end buff that is able to nullify Heat Exhaust. The core buff (Fortitude) is a targeted buff. The one great buff that Pain has is its +damage however, with diminishing returns DR cuts damage buffs extremely hardcore basically neutering what little the Pain corr has to offer to a team.

They banned Corruptor LR because it does not supress properly in PvP (its like having perma travel supression on).

yes, I know the reasoning for banning corr LR. Doesn't make it any less retarded banning LR and not other obviously broken powers.
Makes more sense limiting how many ATs have the same secondary on any given team than it does out right banning a crucial power in someones secondary.

the AT limit on stalkers has already limited certain legit line-ups from happening.
what else is broken that hasn't been banned?
make case, don't just trow virtue-style empty talk at the boards.
I imagine that many players will either be Rogues or Vigilantes, depending upon how enticing the reward for staying true is. I expect there to be many more Vigilantes than Rogues.
I will say, though, that I might switch over to red or become a Rogue (Vigilante > Villain > Rogue) with my fully IO'd toons. I just won't deal with the awful
villain market.
