Why is it harder to revamp a zone than to make a new one?

when I painted miniatures a freshly primered new fig was much more appealing than an old ratty one that needed to be stripped first.

Would be a great place to add some more 20-30 content, especially if it revolves around the Banished Pantheon, which is an enemy group that is (IMO) underutilized in the game.

I think Dark Astoria is an awesome zone, I just wish there was something to DO in it.

Oh yeah. BP and the Tsoo need more time in the spotlight.

At the very least, I'd so dearly love it if the Tsoo tatoo parlour map was added to AE. It's been one of my wishes since AE came out.

Simple version; Brand new content...in zones that are already there. Because there is next to nothing in them.
So than the problem is content, not the zone.

So in a sense they don't have to revamp the zone, just add story arcs and content in it.

There, perfect compromise. DEVS! Add more content to the already there zones and then make new zones with lots of content in it from the start!!! :P

And then on top of that, work tirelessly to make everything you had in there fit better. After all that was the problem with the Hollows. Crap there didn't flow right. War Witch had it as a side job to rebalance it and after who knows how long, it finally worked.


Trying to rebalance a new zone with a concept, ideas and implementation that already exists is a LOT more difficult than having a fresh zone with history and ideas to then manipulate new, never before released content around.
