YOUR Dream Team.
Vinnie--
Lol right, Spiner just fell out of a tree last year and figured out how to team. And the rest hardly did anything! I'm rooting for you rusty little choo-choo! Let's hope this rag-tag band of out-of-the-loop nobodies can take it to the top! Just stop, sometimes I think you actually believe this tripe and it makes me a little sad.
My **** talking didn't run teams off then, it doesn't run them off now. Large margin score differentials are the real problem that people have trouble confronting. |
Things are much worse in other games? I wouldn't know, but western culture in general does have this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sportsmanship
Maybe you're vision of competition is a tad skewed.
This discussion doesn't even involve you, yet here you are. You're doing exactly what you crawled up my *** for doing in the other thread regarding Peril's banner and site layout. It's endearing, really. |

Just to be real, I'm gonna go ahead and point this out: When it comes right down to actually PvPing, the players on WARE are just as constructive as anyone else, if not more. In their selfish goal of getting practice for their own team, they are more than willing to offer advice and practice (and ringers) to other teams. |

Do you doubt I am a random sonic blaster from freedom?
I joined the game during i14, an AE baby to the extreme. I was a level 50 fire kin that didn't know how to use the train. Starting TFing i15 with Prophets of Supremecy. First entered a zone or 1v1d (with my sg) at the start of i16 that was September. Kbs really started in November so I joined those on my pvp io-less sonic em. After two weeks of kb I was being picked over max no offense to max I have no problem with him as a person. I formed friendships with Vex Chris and Musey and got better. Beat poned and final res in 1v1s in my first week of non Pve sg matches. Then the league formed. I was asked to join u2bg and accepted. However after I found out it would not include my new friends I decided to co lead the post op we'll talk band of misfits. Vex and I then turned our d6 players into an unstoppable force that even beat a 5/6 d8 U2bg team. If I had been able to hold the team together instead of having 5 d8 players left at the end we would have won the league thanks to the points system. I quit for awhile came back to join Steve, then headed the FML and won it with BFG. Quit again. I had 15 month vet badge before I came back this time. So other than Venatrix whom I found in the 12th round of the fpvpl d6 draft picked soley because she had the global Lady Inferno and I wanted to try to sway Reaver to our team by having all the females, I have the least game time played/pvp time of any of the known names in this league. I think the problem is people like you BW that have played for awhile and still suck so they make excuses instead of getting better. And way to copy my soul storm build, you do it wrong. And don't even try to say you did it first. I did that as soon as going rogue came out.

Don't get me wrong; u8bfat are total ********, but they love to PvP just as much as the rest of us and are willing to calm their trash talk for *usually* at least the duration of a match (and longer if they want to do more). This is especially true since they are too busy tryharding during a match to type in broadcast. In my experience the **** talking comes both well before and well after the PvPs take place. Whether one finds that acceptable or not is up to each person. I think one should be able to set aside one's pride for the sake of practice; that is, if one cares about improving. Personally, the trash talk doesn't phase me or most of my teammates. We're Honey Badgers; we don't give a ****. We practice with them because if we can get a coordinated spike off while 1 emp and 1 offense are dead, we've accomplished something to build on. Who cares if they post screenshots of 40-0 scores. We know we will lose by a large margin every time, but it doesn't stop us from improving with every match. We don't give a ****. |

I like how we make mention of coming back, and people say we're mediocre/over-rated/going to lose to them/worse than Infamous (lol).
Then we start doing what our name implies (****** everyone), and we're suddenly the stacked team that enjoys destroying everyone's fun.
We don't post "secret rosters".
We don't treat our "draftees" any differently than our core.
We don't have cliques within our team secretly hating each other.
We don't avoid practicing with teams we don't want to lose to.
We don't pretend to be anyone's friend, then **** talk them while we're on mumble.
While I've come to be cordial and honest with most people I talk to online, my self-proclaimed honesty will demand that I say straight up:
We don't care about civility. We are barbaric trolls. We really are. We talk loads of **** - zealously, and without relent - often (most often) for no reason at all.
None of us are denying that.
Moving on.

2. Lol, I set up that build about a month before the league started. I've never played a blaster on an arena team before this one so don't be haunted by whatever similarities may have occured to you.

I'm waiting for you to provide counterpoints to the legitimate examples I provided of the experience levels that my teammates have. Wait, you've got nothing? I'm shocked.
Obviously you'll believe whatever you want. Nobody like to lose, especially by a wide margin. But if you are, for example, a lower tier team looking for practice and you have a selection of better teams to choose from--go with the ones that aren't pricks. That's my impression of how things are playing out for some people. Just saying. |
The best officials from way back in the day were matches that were preceded by loads of **** throwing from both teams for months on end.

Hi
Yeah, my vision is skewed alright.
Interesting characterization! The other thread was you getting offended over a very mild critique and throwing out every personal attack and ridiculous appeal to "craft" in a whirlwind of pure neurotic defensiveness. |
This thread is pretty dumb to begin with, but I just had to comment on some of your characterizations--they're either delusional or intentional falsehoods. Possibly both. |

This team wasn't well-practiced pre-League. There are plenty of *random* people on board, regarding test teams, and for some, pre-i13 altogether.
I don't know what you're trying to accomplish. Obviously you want to discredit what Vinnie's said; but talking up the team in terms of PvP competence isn't hurting anyone's feelings. That aside, Vinnie's statement was accurate, as it usually is.
The team has talent. That's why you're no competition, along with everyone else. That's why the members didn't need to be practiced or even active at all before this League.
Obviously you'll believe whatever you want. Nobody like to lose, especially by a wide margin. Actually, you'd practice the best team (WARE) if you weren't an idiot; since they'd give you the most practice. Teams who actually just want to play, have fun, and improve are doing just that.
You're just a forum-jockey, but you have no real arguments. You fight logic with stubborn ignorance regularly and infer subtle undertones that don't exist. The true diagnosis is "YouMad", but that's already obvious to everyone.
Do yourself a favor; get of Vince's dick. It's embarassing.

Can we keep this thread on topic, thanks guys.
Okay, which test teams did Spiner play for? I'm waiting for your knowledgeable insight; you would know better than I, being that you're from his home server. And since you've (obviously) played with him longer than I have, how long has he had experience on a PvP emp before he was considered to be the best in the game? |
As far as test teams, he was in the first 10MoP and Blacklisted. I don't remember if he had been in HellRaisers when they were fighting on test. I don't know what he did subsequent to Blacklisted, I left the game for a while.
People who know him from Protector have always regarded him as a star player. If he was with the group, he elevated our performance as a whole. Unfortunately he had a lot of rl conflicts and wasn't around as much as we hoped. He's had a lot of experience in team pvp and has always excelled at whatever he decided to do. The assessment that he's relatively new to emping and OMG HE'S SO GOOD AT IT is silly. Of course he's good at it.
Yeah, my vision is skewed alright. |
I could care less about your "critique", Slan. I like that you're still trying to convince everyone that you were wholly innocent and very constructive in your comments regarding Peril's work, but you went took a sarcastic attitude and tone from the get-go, which provoked my response. It was only after the fact that you conceded that the site "looked good", and that the logo was "a bit plain". But you're grasping on to what you said after in order to make yourself seem like the innocent party that was attacked by the big bad WAREwolf. |
I'm waiting for you to provide examples as to how my characterizations are false, when in fact our mission statement is 100% accurate regarding who we are, and where we've come from. And being that you know so much about WARE's roster; I'm waiting for you to provide an accurate analysis about our test and live team experience, broken down player by player. Until that point, the only one making false characterizations is you. What a shock! |
The mission statement, certainly misleading in the case of Spiner. But beyond that look at what it says concerning Spiner and Silit--scrappers from Protector. That's who they were. Are they playing scrappers in league matches? No? So there goes you're 100% accuracy crap. It's a false-self-deprecating joke, which is how it comes across. We gonna keep beating this dead horse? Again, torture the obvious.

Still, you missed the entire point. You ***** and claim that teams should/would prefer to play someone who doesn't talk ****. Staying relevant is difficult, I'm sure.
I can't get within 10 feet of his dick because your team is piled up on it. 3 or 4 of you pop in here everytime I answer one of his posts. Sorry you're embarrassed. Read a book. Do some soul searching. Get in touch with your emotions. Develop some sort of personality and stop being such a drone.
