What is a good redside debuffing toon?

Ice Blast/Cold domination corruptor comes to mind immediately. Slows in primary and secondary stacking with some of the best debuffs in the game in the corr's secondary.

Words to the wise aren't necessary- it's the stupid ones that need them.

"You're right...I forgot...being constantly at or the near the damage cap is a big turn off. Definitely not worth it."

Both of those suggestions are excellent. Rad and Cold are excellent debuffers. Rad will offer more consistent tools while Cold offers additional mitigation for the team by turning them into ice cubes.

Cold is a popular TF/SF option. So is rad. You can't go wrong with either, really.

As for the primary, pick whatever suits your fancy. Sonic is nice for stacking more -res in the attacks. Fire is more damage, and would pair nicely with cold.

I'd go for Radiation Emission on Corrupters, or Dark Miasma or Storm secondary on Corrupters or Defenders.

They all pack some really good debuffs.

i second the Sonic/Dark Corruptor.
Fire/Dark Corruptor is also excellent. (Admittedly all the debuffing is in the secondary. Unless you count debuffing hp. )

Dark Miasma is a good damage/tohit debuffer, but it doesn't get very much beyond that scope. Radiation Emission hits just about everything.

A /Poison Mastermind is also good, assuming you're fighting a single target, since its AoE isn't stellar (limited to a cone slow and its T9 which requires one of your pets to be sent into melee)

Dark Miasma provides a very nice -Res, -movement in Tar Patch, lifting it from a purely defensive debuffer set to a much more well-rounded one.
Rad Emission provides a -Def debuff (ie makes you hit more easily), which Dark doesn't, other than that they cover similar bases, with Dark being safer but a bit slower. You can compensate for the lack of -Def with slotting and Tactics.

Personally, I find Poison's debuffs to be quite underwhelming, and deliberately left it off my list. It has some interesting special debuffs like reducing enemy mez durations, but nothing great to keep the damage off you or your team.

I can't let a discussion on debuffers happen without bringing up Traps.

For primary, nice options are:

Dark - immob to keep mobs in traps and -ToHit to stack with FFG
Ice - slows and holds to keep mobs from fleeing
Sonic - Stacking - res

Global = Hedgefund (or some derivation thereof)

I think other's have covered pretty much all of the options so I'll just add that it depends a lot on what you want to debuff. The sets mentioned above all have good debuffs (and with the exception of Trick Arrow good buffs as well) but they all debuff different things.

Some sets are better at debuffing to increase the team's damage while others are more about debuffing to increase suvivability.

Any secondary primarily focused on debuffs.

I have 2 red siders i consider to be mainly "debuffers"

My first is a Merc/Posion MM. MM has nice debuffs, really nice for AV's. More single targeted yes, but really, it's the AV that NEED debuffing more then anything else. All my pets have a -res prog in them, meaning it's pretty much a given that it fires off and stays applied. I know it doesn't stack, but it's always on an AV, giving that much more punch to the team.

My second, and best, is my AR/Cold Corr. /Cold is an awsome set, really it has as many buffs as debuffs, but they are genearlly kind of overlooked. I have a few -res progs in the build, (one attack, sleet, and somewhere else IIRC...) he makes a mockery of AV's and boy oh boy do i love unloading a full auto into a mob of being hammered with sleet... hehe. Wicked fun.

Or you could do what nearly EVERYONE does and roll a /rad. (even i did..heh) My main blue side debuffer is a Rad/Sonic. It's frankly sicking at it's job, so you can't go wrong there. It's highly popular for a reason after all.
