When I was fighting Sky Raiders with my Illusion/Storm, I'd deceive the force field generators and gale them around the map with me. Confusion powers are my big addiction. They get used on any excuse, and often with no excuse at all, but I especially love confusing mobs with pets.

I used to go out to the Storm Palace with my emp/dark and snipe storm elementals from extreme range (I had 3 centrioles in Moonbeam back then). For whatever weird AI reasons, they almost always tried to run away, and the blast would make all these fancy loops and curves as it homed in on them, and I would fly along with it. It was a blast (in more ways than one).

Ditto. Perfect for a don't get close to me power.
I have it six slotted with Hecatomb (minus the Dam/End) and topped with a Mako's Bite: Chance for Lethal Damage.
This is on my fire/fire blaster might I add
I just LOVE this power.

Poison is an awesome hodgepodge of buff, debuff and control powers, though I find that I only use a few of them with any sort of strategy. Peg someone with Envenom (ranged -Def -Res) to make them easier to hit and die faster, then shoot Paralytic Poison (ranged Hold) at them so they don't fight back. Simple enough.

But Weaken (ranged -Dmg -ToHit) and Neurotoxic Breath (cone -Speed -Recharge) don't get used much in my inventory because they're not usually needed. If something is held and dying, why debuff them? Well, that's where IOs come in. Once I get my debuffs slotted with damage procs, I can already see that I'll be spamming them as if they were attacks. Masterminds do so little damage to begin with that the amount from the damage proc (71.75 at level 50) is actually a significant amount (about the same as their SLOTTED "heavy ranged" attack power).

Knowing that I might do a full attack's worth of damage when I breathe on my enemies with a -Speed debuff, I'm bound to use it far more often.

Confusion: I will confuse that AV!!!

Repel: BOING! Into the corner! BOING! BOING! BOING! BOING! You ain't leaving 'til I say so!

I think this counts, when I was new to this game.

I six slotted brawl with damage enhancements, to make it more powerful.

:O Want. See, I want Grav/Dark Miasma Controller, just so I can Dimensional Shift one group, and then Black Hole another group. Possibly, even Whirlwind the rest.. And Jump Kick. (It's all thematic.)

But on the subject of Fear, my Main Tank probably has some of the most useless power slotting/combos of all time... And it is sooo much fun.

It's Dark/Dark. I have the two Fear powers from those sets, and then the ENTIRE Presence pool. I have three Taunts, and Four Fears, all six slotted. In full teams, I never use any attacks. I just use my Taunts and Fears over and over and over again. All the enemies are looking at me, and they're terrified. I highly suggest it to you, Fleeting, as it sounds like you'd love it as well. (And hopefully we get our Dark Miasma Controllers eventually.)

Well, /FF has detention. Not an AoE like dark's IIRC, but it's another cage.

Lightning Rod. My main Elec/Elec Brute isn't quite optimized for +Recharge, but she's pretty darn good. She's got Lightning Rod and Build Up down to around 27.3 and 26.9 seconds respectively. 34.0 and 34.6 without Hasten... my build's not quite speedy enough for Perma-Hasten yet, and I doubt it'll get there, since +HP and +Regen remain pretty high priorities in addition to +Recharge.

If I could pull it off though, I'd get the recharge on Lightning Rod low enough to use it as a travel power. I don't care if each hop has a pathetic endurance to distance ratio compared to Teleport, because it will be blasting the crap out of everyone in the way. And if I run out of endurance, by that point Power Sink will be down to the point where the animation time is longer than the recharge.

I think I can correct my previous statement by saying;
I am addicted to Full Auto.
There's very few things as satisfying as standing there, cackling 'dakka dakka dakka!' while watching mobs fall down/explode.

Agreed with both of these, best sounds in the game.

(Electric Armor): Power Sink. 6-slotted with Io's for maximum Recharge and EndMod (and a bit of Acc/EndRed), I like to spam it just for lulz.
Sure, I didn't need your blue bar, but neither did you!.

Lift and Propel. Probably the most fun I've ever had with powers in this game. Nothing beats tossing dudes into the air then throwing random junk at them.

I'm a smidge different in that I find the power even more entertaining when it misses. You're spraying a huge swarm of bullets at 12 or so people, and somehow one of them fails to get hit.

Full Auto is made of win. But only if you spin the camera. If you don't spin the camera it will miss everyone. That is fact.

I was horribly addicted to the Gauntlet of Death on my Fire/Traps Corr. 17 trip mines, three Poison Gas traps, two Acid Mortars....BOOOOOM.

Soul Storm + Ignite is also awesome. The Soul Storm makes them spin nicely so they cook evenly all the way through.

Also, Caltrops with the Ragnarok knockdown proc. It has high amusement value.

I love that proc. I hate the set it's in, but I try to slot the proc by itself whenever I can. It's great watching people topple when hit by Psychic Scream or Dart Burst.

'Overdose on a power' reminds me of the old 'wolf farm' days, when the Devices Blaster would be setting up Trip Mine after Trip Mine in the shipping container while the Tanker was gathering up all the wolves on the map and bringing them back on the container... and hovering too close when the Blaster dived down to get 'in range' and trigger all the mines, resulting in the client burping and throwing up a "Too many effects to render" pop-up window. Now that's overdosing on a power.

Ahhh, yes, the entertainment of flying around Peregrine Island with my AR/En Blaster using Boost Range and Snipe on the Nemesis Warhulks... First shot, they'd just stand there, as if they had no clue why they'd just taken damage. Second shot, they take off at a run, scuttling around like a cockroach as I follow them taking shots as Snipe recharged until they lock up and explode. Or standing up on the edge of the plaza near Imperious and using Boost Range, Build Up, and LRM to wake up the Cimeroran Traitors in the alley between the building and the cliff on the other side of the staircase up... and then gunning down any survivors as they try to charge up several flights of stairs to get to me.

I would argue differently; when I'm playing my AR/En Blaster, I'll watch other Blasters run into a big spawn of, say, Nemesis, popping Build Up as they run in, then hit their nuke... and then get chewed up by the ones they missed as they scramble for cover, all their End gone, while I sidle up to a group, hit Boost Range, Build Up, then Full Auto, watching the reverse cascade of orange numbers as they wake up to their situation and start shooting back... then I use Flamethrower on the survivors, lob in an M30 if there are any that aren't quite dead, and go running off to find the next group, my End bar barely dented.

In general I'm addicted to scrappers, specifically for the last 3/4 of a year I've been addicted to Martial Arts, but on a more specific level my first 50 martial arts scrapper has Crane Kick slotted with one of the knockback IO sets, because knockback is fun. ^_^

I made a fire/kin back in 2004, not because I knew they would someday be one of the favorite game builds, but because /kin had a power that made every enemy around you go flying away. Useless power, but great fun.

Also: Shield Charge. Not only awesome, but actually devastatingly useful.
