Wentworth Lag

I have searched on the forums to see if there is a reason for all the Wentworth lag.

Just wondering if they are updating their server? or what. But the 'take 5 min to post one item' is quite annoying.

Is this recent? I was in-game not more than 5 minutes ago and posted 4 items, one of which sold immediately and I retrieved the influence immediately.

FYI, I deliberately pick a Wentworths location that is usually empty. I think having a crowd in there just puts more stress on your computer.

Perhaps you need more memory? I used to get terrible lag from even going near the market and worse from accessing it; about half the time I'd disconnect. After I upgraded, my problems vanished.

A decent workaround is to use the unloadgfx command to make WWs load a bit faster.

I made a macro (based on Zombie Man's advice) like this:
/macro uFX unloadgfx

Then, anytime I wanted to use WW or the BM, I simply clicked the little uFX button, and waited a bit... then I clicked the contact person and it would load much more reliably. Never crashed from WWs after that.

Now, I am on a far better computer, so I needn't worry about it. The weird thing for me, was that the issue didn't begin until i16, before that the interface had merely been slow, afterwards it would invariably crash if I had been playing for any length of time before I went there.

It's actually the whole Guardian server if the global channels over the weekend were any indication. I know personally I used three different machines on three different internet connections and performance was incredibly bad on them all. Everything takes multiple attempts to go through: dragging-dropping, bidding, getting inf or items.

I'm trying to get my support ticket about it elevated at the moment. Considering the first response I got was that it was wai.

i realized that vista causes a bunch of problems.....I currently run XP and 2 gigs of RAM and rarely have any lag....

COol but this didnt happen till a week ago. So I wouldnt think it was a machine issue or an I16 issue.

Usually WW loads in 3 seconds.

I am having the same drag and drop and post issue. which i have NEVER had before.

Back on topic, I, too, am having the same issue with WW. And it started about a week ago. I've been able to place the same item into the interface 5 and 6 times, because it shows up there, and on hand. Eventually, it'll realize that I'm trying to do something, and all copies in the interface will be gone, and I'll be left with the original item I had on hand.

you have to watch the Consignment House channel, and keep trying until you see the text that says, "You put xxx in the Consignment House." Until then, it's not really there.

I use WWs daily and this problem just started up a week or so ago. I'm also on Guardian server. I'm 100% positive this is a Guardian server issue, I've seen a half dozen reports by Guardianites complaining about lag in the last week or so.
