alright which one of you is to blame?
You think that's something, yesterday Stabilized Mutant Genomes hit 20 million. I sold one for that, too.

On redside I specifically remember this was me. I was IOing out a character. When buying 20-30 recipes for hundreds of millions each and I have acquired them all and they are ready and waiting to be slapped on do you think I'm going to care about spending a million or two on some salvage?
A bunch of other redside salvage did the same thing last night. I was buying and I didn't care what the prices were. I wanted my IO'd Corruptor right then and there. I also typo'd a few rare salvage and I bought them for 10 million.
lol you know your an ebil when you buy it nao
I am guilty for some higher prices when I want to have something and dont want to wait.

Nothing saids its your spot like an ourob. Portal dropped on the ground.
What most accusers fail to understand is that most of us marketeers don't price gouge, let alone on salvage.
I am an ebil markeeter and will steal your moneiz ...correction stole your moneiz. I support keeping the poor down because it is impossible to make moneiz in this game.
Somebody spiked regenerating flesh, of all things, up past a million for a short time blueside today, too. Couple hundred bidding, none for sale, and a few 1.5 mil sales in the history. I just chuckled, placed a couple 50k bids, and had mine inside of 10 minutes. I love impatient people, it's so nice how they fund my lowbies for me.

Spiking salvage prices is honestly a huge waste of time for me (and I suspect for most experienced market forum goers). To do well, you have to micromanage it way more than I'd want to, and it can be defeated pretty easily by a patient player who simply bids 1 inf more than your lowball bids that you make to keep up the scarcity.
Completely not worth it. In fact, if I'm feeling spiteful, I will go out of my way to bust these schemes if I see them. I'll check the market every five minutes and slowly creep up the lowball bids, relisting any I get for the lowball price + 2 inf.
Hey, this is great! I may actually consider dragging my salvage into the market window rather than deleting it on sight now that it's not completely worthless.
umm...
sometimes supply crashes and people who want it RIGHT NAO pay the gouger's prices?

@Boltcutter in game.
total kick to the gut
This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.
I probably should have put an at the end of my post, it was meant merely in jest good people!
Still I can only assume that because all the enemies in the Baby new year mission drop magical salvage there was very little tech salvage to go on the market, hence the climbing prices.
Who do I have to *&^% around here to get more Targeted AoE recipes added?

Even at 1 influence some stuff takes too long to sell, and I'm not going to waste my time running all the way to a vendor for 250 influence.
It is funny how people always blame the sellers when they see these price spikes, when it's at least as likely to be 100% caused by buyers.

In this game, buyer sets the price, not sellers. I have listed many things that sold for 10x+ the price I asked . I especially like the 10 candy canes I listed last night for 50K each and got 1 million each for them.

I'm starting to watch any salvage that has less than 70 selling. I'm not sure I'll really try anything with Candy Canes...I don't want a mess up like I did with the four Halloween costume salvage for another costume slot. That was only a loss of around 4-10m, but it hurt.
people are too lazy to run one AE mission I suppose.
I often keep a stack of AE tickets handy for just such an occasion.
La-dee-da, looking through my recipes...
Ooh! There's a good one!
*runs to the Market*
*Buys one of this salvage and one of the other.*
*Sees six-figure sums in the Last 5 for a Common salvage.*
*Bid creeps up a bit, gets nothing.*
Screw it.
*Runs to the AE building to roll a few times on the Random Common table.*
Scientific Theory going for 130k-2 million inf.
Alright which one of you market guru's is to blame for this, heads will roll damnit!
