Don't give up the dayjobs?....Looks like I have to now....they are complete.

As of midnight my time tonight, the final shiny dayjob shall ding upon login of my prime villain badge hunter. Rather appropriate timing given that it is the Mortician badge and that he must be in the graveyard to get it.

Or to use the voice of the Deus Ex Machine from Matrix Revolutions "IT IS DONE!"

Good for you! But it might have been a tad more appropriate to be earning the Midnighter one at midnight tonight...

Probably but there is a symmetry to midnight in a graveyard. At this point though, I don't care, I'm just glad the things are done.

Now only one non-vet badge remains................

Gratulations Nericus.
I dread that same moment really as i've only 3 left and over half is done on them all. But its going to be a relief to be able to relax on where I place my main badger. Then I'm in the same potition as you... with only Vet badges left.

Congrats on finishing them.

Of course some cheeky person could mention that villains always had an advantage over heroes with this because the redside had a few more "double-earning" spots than blueside had before they were nerfed. It was pretty much a guarantee that there would be villains finishing before heroes. Of course as we all know the Devs hate the blueside.

Anyway let's not forget that Going Rogue and/or future Issues might add new Day Job badges as well so I wouldn't assume we'd ever be totally "done" with them in any event.

I hope they're kept to a minimum. I'm tired of parking my toons constantly, and it's turned me off badging by and large.

And, OP: Grats!

Ty, Turg! Also I share your feelings about the Day Jobs. They are a good thing to keep retired alts busy with, but by and large I am not a fan of them.

Oh as an FYI when you are seeking to charge the accolades that give weapons, it takes 10 days logged out to reach full charge for them, you get 10 days of logged out time built up on the normal dayjob badge, and also a fully charged 2 hour duration Expert version of that dayjob badge.

Example: Demagogue: gives inf bonus I believe for completed missions. Log out in arachnos building in PO for 10 days and you then have a charged weapon and 2 hours of Expert Demagogue PLUS the normal demagogue badge.

Day job weapons can also be dual charged; for example if one accolade says you can log in an arachnos base to charge it and another says the same thing for a different weapon/ability, they will both hit their max charge in 10 days if you log in the area that both accolades refer too. Max charge for Day Job weapons/abilities varies per weapon.

Not something I look forward too

Congrats, Nericus!

I'm looking forward to mine being done (blue-side) soon as well, although as others have pointed out, for good or ill I'm 99% certain there will be at least a handful of DJ badges added with GR...

Gratz, I'll be joining you with my hero in 62 more days, unless GR is out by then and I have to delay earning them all by another x months.

At any rate, keep the "All Day Jobs Earned" lounge warmed up for the rest of us!

I was less diligent than many of you. I just happened to look into this last night and my hero badger is only about halfway done on the 15th of 22 day job badges. My villain badger is probably even worse than that.

Congratulations!

Both my Hero and Villain will be getting their last Day Job by Jan 29th and I'm hoping I won't have to worry about those badges for a long, long time (hopefully, never again, but someone has already crushed my hopes...)

Yeah, I'm reserving judgment on GR pending a lot of information about its content and what will become of badges earned plus of course the dreaded day jobs.

My primary Blue toons still should be done before GR comes out but they have a few to go.

Gratz Nericus! I'm just over a week into my final Hero Day Job and about half way through my final Villain Day Job (both are "working" towards the Gladiator badge).

After that, it's farming in the damage mines for me.

Congo Rats!!!

My Corr has a bunch, almost half of them now, not bad considering I'm about to get the 9-month vet.

There's no shame in being in a minority opinion. As I recall opinions on the whole dayjob concept have been divided pretty equally since they launched.

Also why be a sad panda when that means you can play those characters again?

Don't worry, I'm a fan of them myself. We're not alone out here...

Congo rats.

Have about 4.25 day job badges left to go for me.

The first step in being sane is to admit that you are insane.

What do you mean, "again"? I still play them. Day Job badges haven't hindered my playing in the least. Actually, they've been a great benefit. Now, I know EXACTLY where my characters are logged out.

Ah but the more you play them the longer it takes for the Day jobs. Day jobs definitely augmented my already bad case of altitis.

On a side note, the lead rat is wearing a hat with fruit, presumably a reference to Carmen Miranda. However, she was more associated with a style of music called samba. FYI, at the height of her career, she was the highest-paid entertainer in the U.S. for several years and also, at one point, the highest-paid woman in the country (earning $200,000 in 1945).

So she worked with allowing Linux servers to communicate with Windows clients? Can see why she was paid so much then...

Considering that I can only play one character at a time (my compy doesn't support dual-clienting very well), that's not really an issue for me.
