D is for Defenders

Not a new idea by any means, but want to see if there is interest* in doing a few more Defender-only TFs for at least a few weeks. I finally brought over the one I think I'd actually play again, so want to run him through his paces.

Thinking of Fridays or Saturdays, around 9PM EST. This Friday being Xmas, how about Saturday? Can figure out a "better day" after the holidays.

Thinking of starting with the tried and true ITF. See how that goes with interest, then do the other higher end TFs first. If we're still going, maybe more of the traditional ones. I hear the Sewer trial is fun and easy >.>

If more than 8 are interested, that's great.....More teams! If not, either try with whatever we have, or break down and see if we can get some fillers. But I'm sure we can fill out at least one team. There is no "must do all of them" mentality if you sign up for one. It's a week-by-week case.

*Interest implicitly implies that you can put up with Voodoo for the length of the TF and have a Defender you are wanting to bring along. Fun is implied, but not guaranteed. YMMV

Very interesting but I don't have any defenders in level range. (The blaster NOTW is here, so the defender NOTW is persona non-grata.) I've a couple elsewhere in the low 30's so I'll try and level them. If I can, I'll give a holla.

I wouldn't mind running some of these. If I'm around Saturday evening I would love to join with my 42 rad/sonic. He's an all defender ITF (ran at 50) vet so I know at the very least he won't hold the team back.

Interested in these definitely (emp, dark, kin, and soon to be cold at 50). Not sure about this weekend unfortunately. But will be watching the forums!

Very interested, Voo. My commitment has to be conditional because of schedule uncertainties, but I'll be following the thread and will look for the TF if I can be on then.

I have 6 or 8 different level 50 Defenders that I could bring (depending on team makeup). I love doing "all-AT" TFs/SFs!

All this time I thought you looked down on defenders, Voo. Now we know you've been stepping out on other servers with one (or more).

Anyway, I have a rad/ice at 50. And a rad/rad (but I won't consider it as it needs rebuilt and that isn't gonna happen any time soon).

Also, a cold/sonic that may end up 45 after tonight...

If I'm around and sober enough to still mash buttons, I'll join with something defenderish.

I got plenty of Defenders. I don't know that I can make this Saturday, but I'll be watching this space for more All-D TFs.

I have a Dark Defender and an Arrow defender, and can be on this weekend.

If you do the abandoned sewers, I have a controller willing to prefend to be a defender as he needs the badge.

I could go for some, but not for a few days; in Virginia and won't have a playable internet connection for a few days.

So sounds like interest in at least the idea. Tonight might be iffy due to the stupid jerk holiday griefing everything *shakes fist*

I should still be on between 9/930, see if there is enough to get it done. If not, will try again next week or the week after due to yet another stupid jerk holiday.

I would definately be intrested in this Voo. I have 2 50 defenders and 1 at 41 I'm gonna try and get a couple levels on. Not sure about my availability over the next couple weeks, but I'll keep an eye out here.

Did wind up doing the ITF, but between tells and PMs, the all-defender aspect fell through due to various obstacles. Was a split mix of 3 Defenders and 3 Corrs, with a Brute running amok. I got use to playing the Defender again, and it wound up being a pretty quick run without being/trying for a speed run.

So the Defender ITF is still up for grabs, but will see what interest there is in a Defender LGTF this Saturday. Again, if the holidays put a damper on it, will push it off for the following week.

I should be able to run this with the same Rad/Sonic he is 43 now and may be 44 by Saturday.

You must have started after 9:30 pm. I started waiting with my dark defender about 9:EST and a Brute showed up and a Cor asked me if I wanted to join her ITF about 9:20. She said I was waiting by her partner. I told her I was waiting for an all defender one, but I finally gave up at 9:30 and logged.

I'm a morning person on the East coast, so late nights are harder. Starting at 9 I could make it and the adrenaline would get me through it, but waiting to start after 9:30 I'll probably get bored waiting which will kick in my "time to go to bed" mode.

BurningBear - Yeah, I think we did start awhile after 930. If you were hovering over Mr. Imp, I'm pretty sure I sent a tell but never got a reply. You were gone a couple minutes after that though.

I'd love to *start* at 9PM, but I just don't think it's ever going to happen. I can't get on before then and get everyone joined to actually start at that point. The closest I can shoot for is 930PM, and that's with me getting on sometime after 9 and hoping there is enough interest/people ready to go. It usually goes a lot faster if the interested parties use the forums then relying on PUG/Globals. Once the team is full, it's on.

Again, I don't think this Saturday is going to go any faster, but hopefully after that, it'll be more fluid.

I'll be able to do Saturday nights with my Isos Defender... he's not 45 yet, though, so he's out for the LGTF. 8:30 Central is a little late for me anyway, I guess. I have a Tanker and Blaster that would love to run the LGTF if you get desperate, though.

If you are running one tonight, I'll play. I have an emp or a stormy that I can bring.

Thanks for those that joined. After many promises of personal favors, we got this off and actually around the time I intended to boot.

8 Defenders consisting of about 12 Dark somethings and some other stuff. Not a single kin which I figured spelled doom :rollseyes: and Cold is just crazy overkill.


Thinking of Khan next week. Should be shortish. Hopefully interst from the forum will pick up?
