I've used Trend Micro for years based off a recommendation from an IT friend years ago, but recently I got hit with a redirect virus and a couple of others. I apparently hit a bad site, not through looking at "questionable" sites, but in the progress of a marketing research paper, so I was quickly reminded to take a close look at google results before clicking a link.
Anyway, Trend Micro didn't catch the "infosmash" redirect which then got me Pilar and a couple of other rootkits. Took me a couple of days to figure out what happened, and fortunately I hadn't logged into anything other than school, so my other accounts appear to be safe. I downloaded malwayrebytes and TDSS killer to clean them, which they did and ran Eset online to double check and all appears to be clean now.
My Trend Micro subscribtion is up though, and I'm looking at other options. I looked at several reviews from various credible sites, and the only consensus seems to be that there isn't a consensus, although Bit Defender and Kaspersky seem to be conistant in the top 5 of most. That said, after 7+ years I trust the community here over most if not all other sources for reliable tech info, so I ask, what AV/Malware protection would you recommend? -
If your cousin is going Stone/Fire Brute and you want to stay themed, cold/ice defender could be the way to go. Cold has +def to compliment the resists of Fire plus great debuffs and Ice has good ST damage for when you solo.
/Fire as always is always a good option as well, and can color the fire blueish white to look like snow. -
If I'm home in time and spot opens, I'm intrested. Otherwise I am open to 2nd or 3rd run. I can bring dark/ice defender, ill/time troller, kin/elec defender or ice/storm troller.

This beyond sucks. DC was the reason I rolled my first tank and why I enjoy them on Hami raids. As good as he was a player though, he is even a nicer person who was always great to team with and happily answered all my stupid questions. There are no words....

No, not really. Maybe I am misunderstanding you, and I'm not Masque, Top Doc, Peter Peter, or Fullums, but I do my fair share of marketing and keep up with the Market boards, and no one has been able to alter the market long term beyond what the market dictates. If there is going to be a dramatic sustained shift, then it is going to take more then just the "filthy rich" converting. Again, I'm not saying there won't be a shift, certain IOs will go up, others will come down, but nothing that will change the market as we know it.

LotG lvl 50 7.5 recharge were selling for about 250 pre A merits, I'm not at home to check the market but I believe they are selling for about 100million now.
Numina were selling for 100-150 pre A merits and now are like 50 mill (for the recipe at least I didn't check crafted yesterday). -

That is true with Glad Armor, however there is a much smaller demand for PvP then purples and other items. Things like LOTG, Numinas, and Miracles will drop as much as 50% during the week, and be right back up over the weekend. It's the BUY IT NOW mentality combined with increased demand due to more players playing and leveling up on weekends. -
I agree with Flux for the most part, however I think this will have a lesser effect on the market than most people think. I do think supply will take a hit on less desired purples in the short term as people try and convert them, however I think after a while it will level out.
When they introduced A-merits everyone said "Purples, LOTG+, Numinas, and PvP recipies will all crash in price". There may have been a small decrease, but overall the most sought after will always be the most expensive. PVP still go for 3B. Why isn't everyone farming Amerits? Because the other part of the equation is the investment in time. While Masque may buy 200 Purples, how long will it take him to earn all the tokens needed to convert? And as with most things, Masque is the exception. It sounds great and people may try at first, but eventually may will decide the time to influence ratio isn't worth it.
I make my influence crafting and selling on the market. The return is worth the time I spend doing it and I enjoy it. If it is so easy, why doesn't everyone do it? Because many people find it boring or find it to be too much trouble. That is how I feel about farming, but many others enjoy it. My point is, the time investment will go a long way in limiting the impact this has on a major scale. -
This was a blast. Many thanks and kudos MP for putting this on. Bought way more then I planned on, which is a good thing. Plus I got to drive up the prices on all of Masque's bids which is always fun too. Thanks again to all who were there, especially those who were auctioned and donated prizes.

I plan on attending tomorrow, however Mrs. Cylert may have other plans, so I'll run down a quick list of strengths and weakness as well.
Strengths:
1) I'm pretty laid back and will run whatever you want
2) I'll run any taskforce, like DC, I love them.
3) I know my way around WW and the market pretty well. If you farm for all your inf, I can probably teach you a much easier way.
4) I'll go for way less then Masque and MP
Weakness:
1) PVP- Think I did it once, however if you want to farm me for drops, I'm game...You pay, I'll play.
2) Redside- I don't play redside alot, but have several toons. I'll have no issues redside, just don't know my way around as well as blueside.
3) Schedule- I play quite a bit and am available pretty often, but often in hour or 2 increments. If you are looking for someone to run Dr. Q with you, I'm not that guy.
4) I'm not Masque or MP -
Thanks, that looks really good. Did you build yours as a splattroller as well, or more traditional? Would you mind posting your build if it is handy so I can compare?

Thanks for the feedback, lots of great things I overlooked, namely Hamis. I always forget about those for some reason. Anyway, took your advice and implemented most of it.
I team with a regular group of people and none of us are bothered with debt, so that is why all the powers with people dying. And I love fallout. love it. Anyway, here is the updated version. Any additional tweaks and feedback welcome.

Here is what I am thinking of respecing into. Perma AM, Hasten, and Creepers. My main concerns is I feel that I could do a better with the slotting, just not sure what. Specifically that the 5th slots in fireball and health could be put to better use.
I know it has 0 defense and not even fire shield. I'm not overly worried about that as with my playstyle on this toon is blasteresque and either I'm going to confuse and kill or be killed. That said, I'm open to any and all suggestions for improvement.

Great feedback Local Man. To answer some questions, I do mainly play this toon at range. Or did. Its been a while. I did try AA for a while, but respected out due to endurence issues, but that was a long time ago just with SOs.
Below is my latest build based on your feedback. I changed the slotting on Tornado, Freezing Rain, Frostbite and BOI based on your advice. I also added CJ kept Hover just for a LOTG, but if you can figure out a better pick, I'm open.
My biggest issue now is my defense bonuses are all over the place and none paticularly good. I looked at where I could build for melee or S/L since I will be in melee more now with AA, but just can't seem to do it. I have slots to spare now that I'm not building 30% ranged def, but even then, I can't figure out the best use for them. Soooo...any feedback on slotting now would greatly appreciated.

Char actually does respectable damage. You might want to consider dropping a few damage enhancements into it.
I'd also suggest slotting Flashfire with Absolute Amazement (everything except the proc since it doesn't work) if you have the cash.
Swap Tough and Fire Shield's slotting since Fire Shield's base values are higher.
Are you trying to go for S/L or Melee defense?
I originally had Absolute Amazement in there, but was looking at alternate was of slotting, because I have the cash, just don't know how much I'm going to invest in this toon. If I like the finished product, then I probably will.
Good point on Fire Shield and Tough, but does it matter since I am already capped?
As for S/L or Melee, I could go either. I was playing with bonuses to see which I could get and in the process got both. I don't have to be softcapped, but if there is a more effcient way to get one or the other, I'm all for it.

Static Discharge gets some benefit from the range enhancement, with the whole longer cone = wider cone thing, but why not use the proc instead in the other two powers? The damage enhancement aspect doesn't seem to add much after ED.
The enhancement levels in Melt Armor seem kind of strange.
I never really spend a whole lot of time fussing over exact levels, which explains Melt Armor.
