Heh seems bad, well I've just PvP'd with a buncha people who I knew on the EU and are now on the US again, I guess it really is bad. ^^

And how is your VG? and Everyone? All still around?

We are all in hibernation, im just stupid enough to keep paying these people while im not playing.

We all tried Champions, that got real **** real quick.

Changing the colour of my powers meant jack to me so the last issue was another wash out.

we're dealing with a game where zombie invasions are not uncommon, so the term "dead" is relative.

I've found it to be pretty busy lately what with the Halloween event and now the Winter one. Seems like most people stuck around inbetween the two. Earlier in the year I often struggled to get enough people for one taskforce, recently I've been logged on and turning down people for teams, while there are other ones running that I'd have liked to have joined.

a server list merge would be great, I don't disagree. I'll probably still keep playing on Union though, since they've said they won't do it with GR, and even by then the server transfers will be costing us money again. Might get a load of colonials joining us though, that'd be cool.

The game ain't dead, an aslong as i enjoy myself who cares anyway.

Get all people you know on the french, german and defiant to transfer their toons to the busiest EU server UNION. Thats like a server merge out of free will.

Relatively quiet in comparison...however not dead.

I've begun playing CoH more regularly again and I don't seem to have any problems picking up teams. The Defiant Events channel is a click away and tend to get a team even late in the evening.

I can't comment on whether Union is more populated than Defiant, however I have the "Union Taskforces" and "Defiant Events" channels, but it's the latter that always seems to be more bustling with people looking for teams for TFs and the such.

i think Sal's is pretty much the best way to get teams for TFs and the like on Union. If I ever do see anyone posting in Union Taskforces or Union Badgehunters (I think that's the other one) it's usually only after asking on Sals and not getting enough response.

Hmm the key thing here is...are the EU servers profitable to maintain?

They did simply shut down the Korean City of Hero (yes Hero not Heroes) servers when the game sank like a lead brick tied to a torpedoed battleship and offered to transfer account and character info over to the US servers.

However recently NCsoft stopped publishing subscription figures in their quarterly reports so we can't see how many people are subscribed in the EU. The other thing is that NCsoft pretty much gutted their EU offices except marketting so the EU probably isn't going to be a worthy focus in the future.

I do agree on the whole 'server list merge' front though however I don't think it'll be until after GR that they'll make any moves, they don't want the bad press that could follow a server list merger to sully the golden light that is meant to GR.

Most of my toons are currently on Defiant, I have a couple on Union. I've joined all relevant channels etc and can honestly say that Defiant does seem to be the more 'alive' server. Most of my toons are, however, villains. I don't want to move my villains as they are all in my sg. Is it worth me moving my Union toons over to Defiant? Which is more active for TF's and SF's?

(I did log on to defiant last night and it was not good)

Setting aside the pointless argument: The free server transfers for Christmas idea is, essentially, a totally worthless 'present' for the EU customers.

I'm not ungrateful for the free transfers in the EU. It's helped me ship off a few lesser played alts to Defiant which means I have characters there I can play if I wish and a few extra slots on Union so that I can succumb to more altisis. But with many more servers to play on, the present is going to be far more relevant to those not on the EU servers.

I try not to dwell on it too much as I still enjoy the game but the zones do feel more and more empty every time I log on. It's become so bad these days that I've started an account in the US for when I fancy teaming.

Please US Devs, thow us guys and gals a rope here. The different between the US and EU is tangible. When I first entered Atlas Park in the US, it felt like it was four years ago when I first arrived on the EU servers. There were actually people in the zone *gasp!* talking!
