How will you flavor your Dual Pistols?
I'm pretty sure I'm going Blaster for my gunslinger. Also sure that I'm starting Praetorian and going Villain.
Just haven't figured out if I want Energy Melee or Devices.
EM for the great self-buffs, Dev for the concept and tricks it's got.
Thinking on Devices, I wonder if Targeting Drone will buff up Pistols the way it gives Sniper Rifle a little bonus damage. I doubt it, but you never know.

I already have the name Black Ops reserved for a DP/Dark Corruptor; a mercenary mutant gunslinger I think. I'm also planning on a DP/MM Blaster; still thinking of a concept for him though.

If Toxic Munitions offer -Res as some speculators seem to think it might, I think I'll be deleting my Emp/Sonic Defender and starting a pair of Emp/DP Defenders with a friend as Loyalist members of the Psychic Friends Network and play as psychically linked twins that cause massive devastation and destruction.
I'd also be very tempted to make a DP/Kin or FF/DP.
I'll be going with either a DP/Devices Blaster or a DP/Traps Corruptor. Starting in Praetoria either way, and winding up a Villain (with a strong probability of Rogue tendencies). Having expanded options to join in on Hero-side content will be nice, but there's so little of it that I actually enjoy that I just can't talk myself into parking a character over there full-time if I can avoid it.
In concept, she'll very likely be some kind of US Government covert ops agent working for an agency so far off the public radar that even if it is officially sanctioned, no one would ever be able to produce paperwork to verify it... or be willing to, if they could. Part of the idea I'm contemplating is that certain factions in the government may not be all that opposed to negotiating with the Praetorians, and she's going to be out there undercover as a native digging up info about them. If things go as I anticipate, the level 20 switch to Villain will actually represent a formal break with her agency, going all Jason Bourne and vanishing to the Rogue Isles to regroup and hide from the Law. Even living in the Isles though, she'd probably mostly level on Hero content.
I'm thinking about rerolling my Thugs/Storm Summoning Mastermind as a DP/SS Corruptor as well, because I'm just not that big of a fan of pet classes... but the concept for that character has always been shaky enough that I'm really not sure it would be worth investing more time into it. If I don't enjoy the character from a roleplaying perspective, it doesn't seem to matter to me how well the powers work.

I'll be making the Prae version of my Thugs/Poison MM as a DP/Traps Corruptor with Chemical ammunition, then when the time comes, he'll be heading over to Hero side. Not sure yet if he'll be true Hero or Vigilante..

I was thinking a Duality demon under contract by a certain other villain of mine. So a blaster who is either DP/fire with cryo rounds(probably only taking the fire auras, immobilize, burn and combustion from fire manipulation) or DP/Ice with incendiary rounds (taking pretty much all the ice manipulation powers but ice sword). Concept being it's 2 demons, one that holds the pistols and the other *is* the pistols.
...I might just make 2. Or, with dual builds for epic choices, aura selection, toggle management and costume change binds, may be able to roll that into one character that can switch who's holding the pistols and who's the guns....but I *might* want to make one a female demon so that would mess that up...
...hell, maybe I'll just make them both female!
I'm going with what I suspect to be a FotM sometime after Going Rogue hits - a Dual Pistols/Mental Manipulation Blaster.
...with the concealment power pool, for Grant Invisibility and either Stealth or Invisibility (not sure which, yet).

I have a DP/Traps corruptor that will start Prae, then go to Paragon City. Even MALTA has some agenda's that require being on the right side of the law. I'm also thinking of trying the DP/MM idea and/or a DP/Kin corruptor. Don't quite have the stories worked out for the last two ideas though.
I'm thinking a DP/Device blaster who starts and stays a hero. And a Praetorian one. I hope they have some cool new revolver skins for the DP's.

Possibly /Energy or /Devices Blaster or /Traps Corrupter. Will be a Praetorian Loyalist, not completely sure on back stories just yet. The /Traps could be a Praetorian version of my Thugs/Traps MM, while the Blaster could be some sort of robot/mech shootie awesomeness using bits from the new Clockwork parts(whenever they happen to be available to get that is ). Will be like playing a mech in Exteel, except I get to blast some rebel scum instead of another mech!
My elec/elec scrapper is one half of a pair of twins pressured into the media as children. I'm thinking that in praetoria, they got big and my scrapper couldn't handle it, resulting in a downward spiral into depression, drink, and drugs that made her a little bit mad.
Slightly tipsy and off-the-rails pistols/elec blaster? Yes please!
Also DP/Dark Cor here. I've had a steampunk character brewing in my head since dual pistols were first announced.

Ill be going DP/Traps Corruptor or DP/Dark Corruptor that will turn Rogue. Ill start in Praetoria simply because I want to see new content.
Ill also be busy turning a lot of my villians Rouge (the villians I have were mostly undercover heroes or shades of grey heroes anyway )

If there were no redraw I would probably make a DP/kin... but there will probably be redraw, so I'll probably not make anything.
Well, I'm thinking I'll use it for a Defender. Probably either Storm or Dark since I want to try both sets eventually anyway. I might do Kin but I'm useless at remembering to buff so I don't know if I'm willing to tolerate the aggro I'll no doubt get from having an SB-less kin.

With all the sweetness of the Dual Pistols animations from HeroCon I'm geared up for GR so I can start off with a new Dual Pistols character.
I'm curious what type of Dual Pistols character others are considering - Blaster? Defender? Corruptor?
And which other power set they think will pair nicely with Pistols.
