We've had that ever since Pocket D opened.

Yup.

How... shortsighted of the Devs to do this.
My mid-20 to early-30s characters who are teaming with friends who decide to do the RWZ missions disagree. Especially when I don't have to switch sides, just zones, to team with them.

Dear monkey-boy:
1) Pocket D doesn't connect to Atlas, does it?
2) The tailor was NOT in Pocket D when it first opened. She was added later.
3) Your avatar is freaking me out.

But only for people with the VIP pass!

1) So? The run to the tram then through King's Row is nearly NPC free.
2) I wasn't talking about Trina. King's Row Door, to Founder's Fall exit, into the canal, swim down to the Icon. Zero exposure to NPCs.
3) I've gotten more +rep and demands to never change it than anything I've ever done. I have another good Avatar lined up, but I gotta appease the fans for a while

The pass is needed as she is in the Tiki room.

But I never had an issue getting to see Lauren in IP on a lowbie anyway.

I KNOW! But since that isn't who/what I was talking about, it's not really relevant to my point, is it?

Anyone who has played this game long enough knows how to safely walk to pretty much any zone without trips to the hospital. My usual deal with new characters is making a few hundred thousand or million inf. in Atlas, grabbing the Halloween salvage, making the lowbie-walk to Croatoa, making the lowbie-walk to Steel, fiddling with two costumes, and making the lowbie-walk back to Atlas to finish my missions.

Though I guess the Vanguard door is pretty convenient. I never thought about it.

There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.

Agreed. I've been on since Jan.09' and have just NOW discovered the Market and how to buy and sell enhancements, salvage and such to earn tons of influence in the early stages. I found out by someone else who posted in one of these threads in how to make influence in the early stages. Its working, my level 14 Blaster has over 2 million in influence and I am kicking myself in the pants for not using the market with my other toons that I got to level 50.

I would say to anyone who is starting out, USE THE MARKET it will help out immensely, as I discovered. As for my other toons that got to 50 the hard way, I have never once begged, asked or even hinted for influence just to buy something. I worked hard at getting my toons to where they are at and when someone begs for influence, I would also say, play the market and make your influence there. If you don't want to play the market, do side missions or such, if you don't want to do that, then you are just lazy. Yeah, I know I can make millions in influence at the drop of a bucket with my level 50 toon, but it's the principal behind this in not wanting to encourage people to continually beg for influence.

The old proverb/saying goes something like this and forgive me in advance if I don't have it right, but you'll get the gist:

"YOU CAN HELP A HUNGRY MAN OUT BY FEEDING HIM A FISH OR YOU CAN TEACH HIM TO FISH SO HE WILL NEVER GO HUNGRY"

I play this game to be a superhero, not a stockbroker.

i like you, you're silly.

1) So, at level 1, run to the Atlas/Galaxy tram station.
2) Take tram to Kings Row, then run to Pocket D entrance. (Which frequently has +5 NPC's near it.)
3) Enter Pocket D, then go to Founders' Falls exit.
4) In Founders' Falls run in water until you reach the Icon tailor in the far corner of the map. (Which frequently has +36 snipers on rooftops near it.)

i'd never considered that route, but then i usually ran through KR to the IP gate and went to the IP tailor. Much shorter run, and about the same number of mobs to look out for on the way.

Of course i could've just gone to the tailor in the D, but most of my runs were before she was added, and i like the sights in IP more.

Still, going to the Vanguard base is hella shorter and safer than either.

(Hey, i just noticed that the original smileys are back. *huh* That was some board maintenance.)
